The description is wrong, it's not 170 OFF

The description is wrong, in the package and packaging it says it turns off at 175, not 170! I installed it anyway, hopefully it works well and lasts a while. Made in China.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok

3/8 NPT 175-185 degrees

The switch worked, it's a 3/8 NPT thread. I checked it on the stove, turned it on to about 185, turned it off to about 175. Maybe a little less. Judging by the two oil thermometers on the stove and my autometer, it seems accurate. Brasswork is good, fine workmanship, only time will tell if it is reliable.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Protection

Too cheap to work buy Betta

Didn't fit me. Only admits 9V when closed. Does not energize the fan relay. Unplug the cable and ground the fan start. Let engine cool down, check mass. 0 volts. This is how it opens and closes. But the resistance has to be too high for my application (which isn't out of the box, it's very simple).

Pros
  • Relay
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Defective, do not buy

Bought 2 so I had a spare, the first one didn't work at all, let the temp reach 220 before blowing the hose, the second worked at 190 for a next day ride did not switch at all, both are defective. I put the original back, everything works fine, I just wanted to lower the temperature. Return shipping will be more expensive than they are worth. Refers to more of the defective crap sold through Revain.

Pros
  • Engine Radiator Fan Motor
Cons
  • Crumpled Package

Radiator Fan Switch - Parts

Hello, I am writing this review because I purchased this fan switch and it works great on my '82 Chevy 350. I had a Spal 185/165 and I use an acdelco 160 power thermostat and I could never get it to work properly. When turned on at 185 they never turned off but after installing this sensor it's 185/175 degrees and now my fans are working perfectly, they're sick like they should. Only time will tell if this sensor holds up. it works great for now, i will write a review if anything changes.

  • Automotive
