Poor performance on spare parts

Not powerful enough for fiction. The locking mechanism is easy to move by hand, but the operator cannot actuate it. The quality looks, fits and works well but as soon as you put it under any load it stops working.

Pros
  • Robust surface
Cons
  • Nothing

It broke almost immediately

Maybe I was just lucky, the device worked once and then failed. I think you get what you pay for. It was the cheapest model for my Mustang, it broke immediately. At least I learned how to change the door lock actuator.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Periodicity

Worked on a Lincoln Continental 79

This was a direct replacement for the door opener on my Lincoln Continental 79. All the electric locks are working again. The power cord connection was directly compatible. One of the short adapters goes well with the original door lock connector. The biggest problem is finding a rivet to replace the original rivet.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing here

Fits Ford Ranger and many other vehicles

Fits 1990 Ford Ranger. Installation was difficult. I thought it would be a problem, but it really isn't. It's always good to have new ones. They fit a lot of cars, so if you've read somewhere that they should fit, they probably do. My problems stemmed from the accumulation of dirt in the locking mechanism, which this thing couldn't overcome. I would clean it first, WD-40, and then buy a new one.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete Model
