Passive Gps Antenna Ufl 2Dbi Review

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can say that this GPS accessory didn't live up to my expectations. While it did enhance the signal slightly, it wasn't enough to justify the cost. The design is also poorly constructed, making it difficult to install and use effectively.

I can connect about 2 satellites if they are directly overhead. I switched to a large 15mm active antenna and immediately found 12. I use it on uBlox8 so it may require an active antenna instead of a passive one. Was hoping to get away with something tiny.

This is the smallest IPEX antenna (aka u.fl) I could find for my space-constrained Stratum 0 RTC project. It works as advertised but may not be suitable if your project is indoors and needs correction from multiple satellites. enough. YMMV. Cheers, NV1T Volume
