Not for medium and large dogs.

Very disappointed. If you have a large dog, the adhesive will not last for more than one application. The size and configuration of the glue dispensers exacerbate the problem. Cut a hole too big and the glue will come out in a bead, too small and it will barely come out and certainly not fast enough to cover the entire paw pad before it dries. There's no excuse for such a meager amount of glue. Especially considering how much you pay for the product. Good idea. Bad performance. Too bad they…

So disappointed. for boots and paw protection

It wasn't a cheap investment. We have done everything necessary. We cut our hair with alcohol to clean the pads. Our dog was very upset with the statement. We only did the first two paws as she ran into her kennel (which is closed to humans - her safe place) and immediately ate everything. My dog didn't come to me for 2 days, she was so traumatized by the application process. She's 10 years old so maybe only old dogs who don't like the new tricks like it but for us it was a waste of money. I…

After my fingers became detached.

After reading the instructions carefully and positioning my 16 year old Labrador over this tub of loose sand, I applied glue to her paws. I don't know what happened next, but in the end I taped two fingers together and both hands had a bluish, sandpaper-like substance. The dog couldn't stand long enough when manipulated with a paw, so he stomped down, pressing down lightly on the ground, and then hobbled away before I could continue tormenting him. I learned two valuable lessons if I want to…

  • Best of its niche
Cons
  • I have no ill will, it's just good

True, it's our blessing to find pawfritcion. Our dog tore a muscle in her leg at only 9, recovered and 6 months later she did it again, stopped running, eating, stopped playing altogether. Started sleeping in another part of the house. We were almost ready to destroy them. We bought PAW FRICTION and asked our vet to cut her hair and put it on our Annie, after 2 days she is walking around feeling lively, on the 4th day she is playing with her toys (which she stopped 4 months ago. I would forgive

My 17 year old Jack Russell has back and hip pain

My 17 year old Jack Russell has back and hip pain. She slipped across my hardwood floor. I told my daughter I wonder if they make non slip socks for dogs. When she looked, she found this. I used it on her the other day and she feels great. There is no more slipping. The only drawback is the glue. It is very difficult to squeeze out of the tube. Since I was home alone and did it myself. I had a hard time with that. Even though I cut off the tip, it still hurt to get out. That's why I chose my…

He helped our older girl get up

Unfortunately our golden man has a bone tumor and is of old age so it can be difficult to stand on our hardwood floors. We have rugs, but she avoids them, preferring the tiled entrance and the piece of wood. g9. Socks weren't an option because of the swelling and pain in her back leg, and I had a friend who tried pads that just slipped on but didn't hold up at all. I followed the directions, put it on the dressing table, trimmed all the hair and filed the nails, wiped with alcohol and let dry…

Theoretically cool but too difficult to use

I really wanted to like this product. I'm a vet and saw another vet recommend it, so ordered some for my older dog with neurological problems in the hindquarters. The shredded material is great and if they could find a better way to stick it on it would be a winner. However: (1) Only 2/4 of the tubes of glue contained glue (see pictures). Maybe it's invisible glue? I cut one of them in half to prove to myself I'm not crazy. (2) Maybe my dog is just "difficult," but as a vet, I feel I should be…

Good idea, but not practical! Rookie Disaster.

While this product appears decent I suspect it is best suited for small dogs and applications where one person can hold the dog while another applies the product. I tried it two different ways with my 150lb Newfie, once with the dog lying down and once with it standing. When lying down, the problem is how to put your paw in the sandbox, since you can only turn your paws for the time being. I tried sanding by hand and ended up covered in globs of glue and sand that took forever to separate. When

First of all, I would like to thank those who have used the product before me and left their feedback. This has helped me determine if this product is suitable for my dog. Second, I'm sorry I didn't hear about this product sooner. It was very helpful in my situation at home with my dog. Third, I hope my review will help anyone else trying to decide if this product is right for them. Here is a little background on my situation and why I chose this product: My husband and I adopted our dog 10…
