Opened to find cracked plexiglass window and this was my daughter's big gift for Christmas.

I like the product but when I opened the box to assemble on Christmas eve to find a cracked plexiglass panel, it was disappointing and I haven't had any return contact as to how to replace the panel. Also, the mesh cover is not attached well to the frame/lid. It comes out of place easily, but is not easily put back in place. Overall, I love the look of the product and it's intended functionality, but also wish I had chosen something different for my daughter to house her hamster.

  • The extra-large size may be unnecessary for smaller rodents

Does not fit together properly & one piece came without drill holes

I needed a second hutch. The first one I bought was made by Aleko and looks identical to this Pawhut version in pictures. THIS HUTCH WAS NOT THE SAME. The pieces are poorly made, they don’t fit properly together. The door is not flush when closed - there’s about 1/4” space which my hamster will surely chew through. Lastly, the back piece did not have drill holes so I had to nail it in which split the wood. And the finished product is not sturdy. Buy Aleko’s version instead.

Huge cage but cheaply made for how much it cost

Shelves are slanted leaning forward makes toys fall off and more than likely will break if u try to move it it because the bottom isn’t solid it’s three different pieces for the proper amount of bedding you need about 56L of bedding for proper care each time which is about $20 it’s a good cage the size is similar to a six square book shelf ^^also the wood can split when putting it together and it’s a bit difficult with just one person

Won’t hold up when you hammer nails won’t buy again very unsatisfied but I’ll be receiving a refund

Hard to put together nails that were provided were incorrect and would not fit through the wood, also the pieces were chipping off very easily it was frustrating to have spent almost $200 on a piece of junk wood thankfully I’ll be getting a refund

Using as a terranium

I’m using this as a terrarium for my tegu (until she outgrows it). It works really well for her. I added some hard plastic to the lid to keep the heat in. The wood did crack a bit during assembly, and all pieces don’t 100% meet. But overall I’m pleased.

Overpriced for poorly machined PINE habitat.

I was so excited to get this habitat for my hamster. I was paying attention to the tracking while it was being shipped to me. You can imagine my disappointment when I finish putting it together.The material: This habitat is made out of pine. One of the cheapest wood materials out on the market. While its made to look like its for the outdoors, I do not recommend you do as Pine will grey out when exposed to the weather. Awesome habitat - my new review

I bought this for my bearded dragon and it has changed hey life! She climbs all the layers, had so much room and it hold temps perfectly! So glad we bought this for her! She seems like a new dragon.

Do not buy in my review

I would not buy this again. It was awful to put together. Nothing is labeled properly. You can hear the wood cracking. It it wasn’t for the aquarium silicone I put on it the thing would fall apart. I would send it back if I didn’t need something right now for my hamster

Do not buy! good for me

In less than a week I have had o e hamster lift the lid then the next day they chewed a hole through the back and are running loose in my house. I will be lucky if they are found. I will be lucky is my cats don't kill them. I will be lucky if the hamsters don't damage my house.

rather disappointed

Several of the predrilled holes were missing so we needed a drill. The wood itself is rather flimsy and cracked when we were putting in the screws. We have an escape artist hamster, so far at least this cage has kept her in.
