This is only my second review but after wearing this sweatshirt a number of times I had to do another one. In the past, shopping for clothes at Revain tended to be quite risky, with few items actually having any level of comfort or quality. However, this sports hoodie is an exception. I love everything about this sweatshirt: the cut, the material, the thumb loop. 1 star off because of the advertised color: The Light Heather Gray color I ordered is MUCH darker than the pictures show. It's not an ugly color, just not what I expected. If I had known, I would have chosen a different color. However, it is again a goalkeeper. Actually, I can still order a second one.

This is my new favorite piece of clothing. It has fashion and function. I like the way it looks, it's definitely a more fitted hoodie, it's actually a bit too thin at the armholes. I have a sports uniform and it suits me very well. I like that it doesn't have big ugly logos or anything like that. Unless you have a small waist and spider monkey arms, this is an odd fit. If you have a whiff of pudge, you'll look like a cracked cookie jar.

Waffle fleece backer is warm, too warm to run in temperatures over 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Nice and long sleeves with thumbholes for extra warmth. It would have been nice to have a drawstring hood as well as some ventilation as it gets quite warm after a few miles. Possibly mesh pit/back plates. Me: 6ft, 167lbs, not muscular, not chubby, working class. Very average size. Center 1/4 zipper: won't pinch or dangle. Precisely. Medium insulation. Not a technical lightweight, but a normal lightweight. The zipper twists and sticks in the Adam's apple as usual, whether the zipper is closed or not. I should have gone for a plain hoodie. I still wear it almost every day, only occasionally adjusting the collar.

I have been deeply impressed by many of Peak Velocity's offerings and this example is no different. This hoodie is a thin, fitted layer with a mesh pattern on the inside and a smooth outside that's easy to pull on when you want to wear a jacket or shell over it. Whether you're looking to wear it outdoors or on the couch, this sweatshirt is perfect for everything. Soft, great fit, not too thick but warm enough. I bought one, tried it on and immediately ordered a second one. This hoodie was great for hiking in 40 degree winds. It's not windproof in any way, but did keep me warm after a grueling 3.2-mile hike at the top of the mountain.
