Another great Pearl Izumi kit part

I use Pearl Izumi products because they are the best I can find for the price. Yes, I love Assos, but I'm not going to spend $800 on a pair of boots or anything. These shoe covers from PI are designed to withstand temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Rode today in 28 degrees, windy and the feet were not very warm, even in very good socks and cycling shoes. Maybe I would feel more comfortable with a different base layer on my feet. I'm glad I bought this

. I have to admit that I thought long and hard before pulling the trigger on these Pearl Izumi shoe covers, but I'm glad I did. I've tried different overshoes and this is the best I've found so far. They are high quality and well made, like all Pearl Izumi products. I've worn them down to around 35 degrees on rides up to two hours with no issues. Below 35 degrees I use Hot Hands toe warmers HotHands toe warmers (40 pairs) so my toes don't go numb. To be honest I'm in my fifties and my toes and…

Good but not good enough for a 20 year old F

My commute is about 15 miles one way and it usually takes me 50 minutes one way. Lately the temp has dropped to 20F-30F so I bought these shoe covers. When the temperature is around 30 degrees (and the wind around 30 degrees too) I reach my destination and feel my toes getting a little cold.
