Compact and light but very strong

Used to buy a gorilla type tripod. It was fine, but it was difficult to set up and trust that the weight of the camera/phone wouldn't ruin it. This resulted in poor video angles that went unnoticed until edited. I thought I would use bendy legs to attach to trees and other objects, but again there was a trust issue. When it was recommended by AT Thru Hike Vlogger I quickly bought it. It's exactly what you need for minimalist, lightweight mountaineering/hiking gear. However, it's pretty durable…

Inexpensive: full tripods

I bought the Pedco UltraPod primarily for use with a GoPro camera. It works fine for this (although you will need an adapter). Above all, it is user-friendly and versatile. I mainly used it for handheld shooting, but it also works well as a tripod. For the money it's ok. But there are questions.1. It's plastic and seems cheap2. The ball head is difficult to adjust because it is either too loose and moves in all directions or too tight which causes the GoPro adapter to rotate instead of the ball

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!

Seriously, I think this should be the very first product that comes up when searching for "mini tripod". However, for some reason this didn't show up in the search, but as a suggestion from another product page. In fact, this is exactly the product I need for a lightweight backpack. MUCH lighter than the Joby and can also be used as a selfie stick with trekking poles. I love that I can switch between the velcro method and the tripod without having to unscrew and reassemble it like I had to do…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

VERY lightweight mini tripod, easy to use in many ways

I use this Pedco Ultrapod, which can be hand-held, placed as a table tripod, or attached to a railing or pole with Velcro, with the Ulanzi ST-03, a cleverly designed all-metal mount with screw-on adjustable jaws that securely holds your phone. This combo complements my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with the Otterbox Defender rugged case for desktop video chat sessions. (The Ulanzi ST-03 also allows you to mount a compatible LED light source on top with cold shoe grommets on the inside of the upper…

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

sturdy little tripod for travel

I bought this for a trip recently when I was planning to spend a week with just my everyday backpack and I needed the smallest tripod strong enough to not carry Worried about camera tilt/shake. It fit the bill perfectly (and was pretty cheap!) and I'm very happy with it. I use a Sony a5000 with a few extra lenses in addition to the kit lens. This is perfectly normal when shooting with the kit lens, and I had no problem placing it on uneven surfaces while hiking. Plastic pads on the legs prevent

Small but a hassle to use

I'd say this thing can hold a fairly large camera, allowing you to do long exposures with little to no extra stuff in your bag. So if you're looking for the absolute most portable tripod, you've probably just found it. But no matter your camera is big or small, you will feel uncomfortable using this thing. It's basically a single adjustment screw for tilt and pan control. There's a reason virtually any regular tripod doesn't work like this. Usually, when framing your shot from a tripod, you…
