    these work great. . . .

    I like these cable tensioners. They work great if you have even a little coordination. It takes a little practice to get fast enough to use them. But once you master this technique, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it before.

    Not working as expected

    I used it for the first time yesterday to tighten the cable tension on the front derailleurs on both of my mountain bikes. Read the instructions on Pedro's website carefully. He didn't cling to the cable; just patted it and ended up having to use pliers to get the job done. I believe other reviewers have pointed out similar issues. Back to Revan.

    This tool is a revelation!

    WOW. I own a few bikes with disc brakes and changing the brake pads has always been an excuse to hone my swearing skills and then struggle to get the brake cable tension right. With this tool, the work becomes an absolute and perfect child's play. I can't believe how much easier this makes the job. Ten minutes and I had the brakes set up perfectly with no fuss or mess. LOVE IT!

    Works great for sports

    I've never tried any of this and it doesn't have instructions but it's intuitive. I've found that the stop gear can be "auto" in one position by gravity, or if you want to operate it manually with your thumb, just turn it upside down. Pliers in a spot where you can't get your hands into position for good leverage. All metal, which is always good

    There's a reason it sells for half or a little less than its closest competitor. The toothed part for which the lock is hooked.

    You'll get your money's worth and not a penny more, there's a reason it's selling for half or a little less than its top competitor. The jagged part where the lock sticks is actually slightly crumpled/deformed on mine, which is pretty unfortunate for something new out of the box. But it seems like they spent a lot of time making sure they shaved enough to leave you with just enough stuff to get the job done; although this suggests that they designed it that way and not just cheap.     Pedros is close by if you need an extra hand!

    Today I got the Pedros bike cable puller just in time because I adjusted my road bike. Delivery was slow but within seller's arrival parameters. The tool doesn't look very impressive and doesn't feel all that solid. Lubrication was visible at all pivot points. However, I also added this work by fitting and adjusting road bike brakes and front and rear derailleurs.
