Bought this mount for Samsung PN50A550. My studs are a little over 20 inches apart. Installation was pretty easy. The tricky part was tightening the screws on the bottom. My TV is mounted above the fireplace with a small 8" shelf so I can't look directly under the TV to get to the screws. The TV is so close to the wall that it was a bit difficult to try from the sides. Suggestion, turn the screws to be threaded before installation. I ordered the Peerless PT660 because it was guaranteed to fit my 46 inch TV, which it did. In general, I'm happy with it, but the design is not without flaws. I used this wall mount in a recess in the wall. The notch is about 5" deep and it is very difficult to get to the wall mount to attach the 2 screws that attach the TV to the bottom of the mount. This peerless bracket is extremely durable. Holds my 54" plasma mounted above the chimney well. I was able to install the TV in less than an hour.
