For an incomparable Delta model! Be careful when you pull out the inside of the lock, it may fall out due to the water pressure. And it can fall between the walls, be extra careful! Otherwise it worked great!

Comments and ratings on this product are very confusing. Many of them say that the item comes with a check valve, while many of them say that it doesn't come with a check valve. I just ordered it here in June 2019 and the cartridge did not come with a check valve. I will order it now. If you can somehow edit the comments to indicate that the item does not have a check valve I really think that would be of great help to people considering ordering this.

This new cartridge design RP70538 differs from the old design. I was skeptical at first and a bit nervous that it might not work with my faucet, but I was glad it worked as my shower faucet had been leaking badly for the last few days and I needed it like yesterday. However, my plumber mentioned that he didn't need to use the Hue Greenish top (I uploaded photos of the old cartridge). Due to the urgency I had great Prime delivery. Came within 2 days.

I ordered this valve to replace the one that froze and cracked last winter. The illustration shows both parts of the pressure compensation cartridge. I assumed the assembly pictured was what I got. That's why I ordered this part. I only received the pressure equalization cartridge, not the check valve shown in the picture. If I knew, I would try to order both parts. The product number matches exactly and everything looked fine as far as I could tell. Was excited as it was very difficult to find at first. Ordered one of these RP70538 cartridges. The cartridge is made of plastic and has a top and bottom that must be locked at the factory. A latch didn't click on mine. I tried locking it by sliding the two sections by hand but they wouldn't lock. I tried installing it into the valve body just to see if the seat ring compression would hold it, but due to a defect the cartridge was not seated properly.
