Piece of shit! suitable for laboratory instruments and equipment

I ordered this and it took 2 days to send it back. This was extremely inaccurate and resulted in me accidentally burning ALL MY PLANTS! It also says it's waterproof, which is a complete lie! Water got under the screen and I couldn't see any readings afterwards. Stay away from this product, it is absolute junk! Stick to $20 sticks. They do their job. This can cause you to lose everything!

5 months/requires replacement

It was a surprisingly accurate pen but not fully waterproof, at least mine did. I couldn't photograph the small amount of water that entered through the battery cover seal because I dried it quickly without thinking, so I can't really prove water damage other than with words. It's been 5 months. This is my main pen and now it's broken. I'm not sure how or if I can get a replacement. Highly recommended.

Calibration *NOT* optional

The pen is easy to use and can read 500ppm, 700ppm and EC, but you must use the 500ppm mode as the EC mode only reads up to 1 decimal place and uses millisiemens. 500ppm mode reads in increments of 10, which equals 20 EC, making it five times more accurate than EC mode. And then don't forget to count. Why couldn't they read EC to 2 decimal places or just use microsiemens when the meter can measure that? Stupid. Also, it says very clearly that calibration is optional and optional, and I didn't…
