I originally bought this just to add movement to the surface but my goldfish and dojo loaches love it in bubbles to swim! Even though I bought the longest model, I tried connecting it to the Whisper 10 I already had and it provided enough air to get to the end of the hose. It took several hours to get full blisters. OK. That's easy. This is the best bubble wall out there. You can cut them with scissors to get different sizes and you can even connect them. They beautify my aquarium. Bubbles are so cool. No leakage at the connection. The included suction cups are great. I had an unfortunate diatom bloom that affected everything in my tank including the bladder wall. I just threw that wall away and replaced it. But to my shame, I'm stocking up on those bubble walls because I'm afraid they'll stop making them!

A fun product. You can make a beautiful bubble wall. But not so much with a water filter. It will make a gurgling sound as bubbles are sucked into the intake. Almost like when the water level is low. Also, it creates a nice dramatic look for the tank. Some places in the pipe will have more bubbles than others. This is more evident when less air is entering the diffuser. At first this seemed to work fine. There were a lot of air bubbles, they were nice and small which allowed them to circulate around the aquarium quite well. I once left it unplugged overnight to plug in something else and the next day when I plugged it back in it stopped working. I took it out and rubbed it as best I could but there were no blisters. Many people complain that they don't work. As others have said, you MUST have an appropriately sized air pump for it to work as intended! You can't use a Whisper 20 air pump and expect a full stick to work properly! I had an issue with cyanobacteria in my 65 gallon saltwater tank. I had to use Chemiclean to fix this problem. I have an air hose that goes from my Tetra Whisper to a Plenn Plax bubble wall for my 10 gallon tank. It works great! However, the bladder wall is too large. The downside is that it's so big that it takes several minutes for the pump to push through enough air to get all the bubbles out.
