Description of Pentax AD 9X28 WP Binoculars

Compact roof and porro prism models that balance small size and premium image quality. These binoculars are easily packable when small size and weight is critical, but a high quality image is required. Premium multi-layer coatings assure the maximum light transmission through the binocular. The result is bright, crisp, true-to-life images in the widest range of viewing conditions. Durable construction includes fiber reinforced polycarbonate designs which combine light weight and rugged styling. The reinforced chassis is extremely rigid, but light enough to carry anywhere. Waterproof and nitrogen-filled (JIS Class 6) to handle the most extreme weather conditions (submersible to 1 meter).

Excellent Portable Binoculars

As my tests showed, these binoculars are incredibly lightweight and compact, making them the perfect companion for any outdoor adventure. The comfort grip and waterproof features make them easy to handle, and the quality of the optics cannot be overlooked. The only downside is that they might not offer the magnification power some users may need.

Pros
  • Lightweight, compact, waterproof, great optics.
Cons
  • Limited magnification power.

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

And now lifehack - I bought it in the states, in the official store for 13 in terms of currency (on Amazon it is also sold for this money). This is more than two times cheaper than in the 2022.

Pros
  • Good compact binoculars with 9x zoom. In an offline store compared with others from this class. In my opinion, he remained in the favorite. Image size, aperture ratio, clarity, lack of blur along the borders - everything is on top. I also have a Nikon Aculon A211 10x50, so this Pentax is no worse in the picture, and maybe even better (clearer).
Cons
  • The eyepiece cover is too tight, it is not very convenient to remove, but this is a matter of habit.

I found it similar to the first reviewer who used the "Empty" or "Telescope" view View was annoying to the point of distraction. I have never experienced anything like this in 29 years as a professional guide. It was a client set and we chatted over the porch railing. Comparison sets were the Bushnell Excursion HD 8x32, Schmidt & Bender 7X and Nikon Monarch 5 (unfortunately I don't remember the magnification). The Pentax's field of view was ridiculously small. If it weren't for the first review

Pros
  • Binoculars
Cons
  • Makes me angry
