I found it similar to the first reviewer who used the "Empty" or "Telescope" view View was annoying to the point of distraction. I have never experienced anything like this in 29 years as a professional guide. It was a client set and we chatted over the porch railing. Comparison sets were the Bushnell Excursion HD 8x32, Schmidt & Bender 7X and Nikon Monarch 5 (unfortunately I don't remember the magnification). The Pentax's field of view was ridiculously small. If it weren't for the first review I would say it was a damaged product but it now seems an integral part of their design. In any case, if this weren't the second Pentax, whoops, I'd suggest many other candidates under $250.
