Just what I needed Lenses

Amazing, vivid colors and incredibly sharp. I needed something to replace my Sigma 17-70mm lens (which was very disappointing) so I settled on a Prime. Ideal for landscapes, tight spaces and night shots.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Not bad

I love this lens! suitable for camera and photo

One of my favorite lenses of all time! It does soften a bit at the edges, but the sharpness towards the center is wonderful. The colors are just super strong. Top notch construction, just wish it was WR and f2.8 (-1 star for that) as you'll be using it outdoors most of the time. All in all a great wide angle lens!

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

This is your new best friend!

If you shoot a lot indoors or outdoors, or if you're an artist who needs to take clear, high-quality photos of your paintings, then this is your new best friend. Not only will your photos be sharp and in good color, but you almost never need to use a flash. I couldn't be happier with this lens.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

A pleasure to use.: SLR lenses

Superb build quality. full metal construction. The optics are impeccable. Rimless sharpness from f/5.6. I usually use this focal length at f/8 or f/11 to get even better results. The colors are rich and pleasantly saturated. The autofocus is as good as any other screw drive lens I've used. Not as fast as SDM, but quite adequate. I usually use this lens in manual focus mode and it's excellent. The ride is smooth and well-damped.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Quality

Good compact size, the best among SLR lenses

Good compact size. The review is based on using K3ii. So far it hasn't met my expectations. Overall the lens is a bit softer than I expected, I've looked at other samples online and I don't think it was just mine. I have some good photos of this, but it takes some learning compared to some of the other primes I've used. I plan to use it extensively on a hike this summer and will update my review when I'm done if necessary.

Met my expectations

As I prepared for my trip to Ireland, I knew most of my shots would be wide-angle. As the environment in Ireland can be humid I needed something to complement the KP's weather resistance. I chose this particular lens (btw I had two other zoom lenses that never left my camera bag). I filmed everything on it. He has done everything from landscape to portrait. My only complaint (not worth deducting a star for) is the screw on the lens cap. It could and was a nuisance. If you are purchasing this…

This is the lens you are looking for.

I LOVE this lens! It's wonderfully compact, solidly built, perfectly sharp and rich in contrast. I wouldn't mind if it was faster in low light, but not if it sacrificed image quality throughout. I think the design goals were excellent, as was the execution. If I had a problem it would be that I can't rotate my circular polarizer with the hood down like I can on some other Pentax lenses with the hood dropout that provides access to the filter. I have to retract the hood, rotate the filter until…
