Excellent filtration for any dug or drilled well

This does a great job of filtering solids out of my dug well. I use a 5 micron filter up front to get the larger particles, then two 1 micron filters in parallel to remove the smaller particles without restricting flow too much. I only have to change them 2-3 times a year and the water level in my well fluctuates wildly year round, stirring up the dirt. My water tastes good.

  • Industrial filtration

  • Available in black only

Inexpensive Whole House Filter

Inexpensive Basic Whole House Filter Keeping us in Southern Indiana about a month from replacing. Does what it says on the tin and does an excellent job of removing sediment and minerals. I particularly like that these are not a polypropylene wound filter as in my experience they will disintegrate over time and the particles will be washed downstream into your house. I would recommend it to others!

Very Average Budget Filter

This is a simple crepe paper cartridge that performs fairly well - a particle size of five microns means it removes most (but not all) contaminants and minerals from the water. However, we have fairly high water pressure and this seemed to distort the filter and reduce its effectiveness fairly quickly. I replaced it with a more expensive filter that uses both charcoal and paper and is surrounded by a metal mesh. It seems to be holding its shape better. My guess is that if you don't have a major
