This set expands the service capabilities of the W89304 Ball Joint Service Set. Includes all receiving tubes removing and installing adaptors needed to work on most GM, Ford and Dodge two and four wheel drive pickups, vans and SUVs through 1997. Works on press fit upper and lower ball joints. Set also includes the W89304 live center forcing screw plug. Application chart included.

F-250 requires longer hoses.

the kit worked great except the push tubes weren't deep enough to push the ball joint out all the way. I was lucky enough to have a pipe that I cut and used to make it work for me. However, note that this can be a problem. All of this can be fixed with an additional 1/2 longer tube.

I'm glad it worked on my Ford F-150

For those interested. With a little planning, all the necessary parts were included and this kit was perfect for replacing the lower ball joints on my '97 Ford F-150 4x4. I used molybdenum/graphite assembly lube on the threads. I did not use an impact wrench as there were clearance issues due to the height I was supporting my car at. The manual effort was minimal. Next job is replacing the driveshaft, I will report any problems if there are any.

The press was strong enough but the adapters didn't work on my f250 super duty, bought an extra set of adapters and still needed a bit of creativity to get it working as the press hole was too small. It bent a bit when the old ball joints came loose, so I tapped the bolt with a hammer, then tightened and tapped until it came loose.
