Disappointing (see EDIT below)

There might be some kind of licensing issue but why don't these 3rd parties find out that Manfroto and Arca Swiss own the quick coupler market. It would be 5 plus stars if it was only compatible with SOMETHING. If you have more than one camera and/or tripod, ALL should work together. This head is very well made - just Manfroto quality, maybe even better. But what good is a quick assembly if you have to remove the base plate every time you change the tripod? I think the manufacturer tried to do…

Excellent quality and very useful

I have a different brand small tripod ball head very similar to this one but at a much higher price (+$15). They appear to be about the same quality, although another says they will hold more weight. This one has a spirit level and the other doesn't, but the other has a cold shoe mount which this one doesn't. What I like about both is that the quick release plates are compatible so I can easily swap gear between them. That's the whole point of the order. Neither are interchangeable with the…

Discreet small mid-range ball head, Arca-Swiss style plate.

I have used Bogen/Manfrotto heads exclusively for many years and they have their own plug-in system. Then I got some new heads with Arca Swiss inserts. To be honest I find the Arca-Swiss better than the bows - they are reversible and have a large clamping area - plus pretty much everyone but the bow uses them. This head is made entirely of aluminum and steel and includes a small spirit level. Likes: Small knobs that block disk and head rotation. They don't offer much leverage. The plate does…

Great Portable Ball Head

The Pergear Tripod Ball Head is amazing! I really like it and it makes using my Gorillapod even better than before. I got this specifically to use with my Gorillapod because sometimes it just can't read exactly how I want it to. This head is fairly light due to its small size, so it doesn't add much weight to the Gorillapod rig. it's just a lot easier to set up, especially with a small camera like a gopro. Build Quality: To be honest I have a three sided Manfrotto head on my main shooter's…
