Not at all satisfied: exhaust and emissions

The water hose inlet was jammed inside and did not allow water to flow. Could have repaired the engine at great expense if it hadn't been caught outright. Not at all satisfied.

Don't buy junk: exhaust and emissions

Plastic case cracked twice. I sent the first one back and they sent me a new one. Launched the boat this week and found the replacement cracked as well. This is scary because they are below the waterline in the boat.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not happy with everything

Warning! Don't buy a second one!

This was my second Flush Pro, I only bought this second one because they remade it with stainless steel reinforcement band! Almost $200 down the drain in just a few years! Warning: sooner or later they will break!

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Only available in black

It's okay, it's good for exhaust and emissions

2020 Chapparal 257Ssx on a 6.2L Merc. The boat came with this from Chapparal. Tried to wash the boat to no avail. I figured the engine would have to be started for the thermostat to open then there would be flow, but that wasn't the case, the temperature alarm went off and the boat stalled. I dismantled the flushing of the Perco, the ball valve stuck when closed, did not let any water through. Ordered a replacement and now the new 1 keeps leaking. The gasket that seals the band clamp is not…

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • I don't remember

Definitely a better design than the original. BUT - mine was installed on my wakesetter '06 and the top mount is different than before. So that is the reason for the 4 stars. It would be nice to be told beforehand that there is a replacement so you don't take everything apart and then find you have to run to the parts store to get another knee. At least they fixed the broken part that cracks, leaks and squirts water everywhere.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Weight

Very useful in air check valves

Ideal for winterizing or engine flushing. Installation was easy and relatively easy. The hardest part of the installation was cutting the factory hoses (they were wrapped in metal wire). I love that the kit even included an adapter that opened the check valve on the hose nozzle so a non-pressurized hose (my antifreeze reservoir) could be connected. Plus, at only $10 more than bead suction cups, this is a great permanent alternative. My boat was difficult to operate because the air intake was…

  • GOLS certified

Worth the trouble: exhaust and emissions

I have two of these 1-1/4" Perko adapters for two 6.2L Merc engines and a 1" Perko (cut down to 3/4") for my bought Jenny. All three using the same 5/8" inlet with a Perko water pickup (water hose) on the rear of my tail gun plus a pair of 5/8" tees and about 30 Foot 5/8" supply hose connected. Found that a 5/8" supply was sufficient to power both motors at idle, but not both at the same time. The Genny actually drew in twice the flow as the larger motors at idle, and the 1 inch perko swallowed

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great

3. Flushpro - will buy these for all my boats

This is a great way to flush a stationary or stern drive boat. I installed them on two Volvo diesels and a set of Ivecos. They are easy to install and use. The guy I'm familiar with has a V-clamp and I've never had a problem with it breaking or leaking. I have a spare tube of the same diameter on the boat, an impeller and extra clamps just in case, but damn I don't need them. I usually use a length of garden hose with a valve or cap to make it easier to connect, but otherwise that's all you…

Inlet connection breaks easily and often too blunt

Makes it easier to drain the boat out of the water and flush the water system with clean water. However, an 8-year-old who dropped out has just been replaced. The intake pipe has just come loose from the valve. Speaking to my dealer they saw that this is a very common problem for anyone over the age of 2. The boat almost sank and the engine overheated, so it might not be the best thing to do. From now on I will inspect it and replace it regularly. After the engine dies, there is no water source
