So far so good, the finches love it and the design is such that the morning pigeons can't get to the perch and camp. I used to use a feeder but the morning pigeons only lived in this thing, now they clean the floor and the finches can enjoy the feeder. The block I ordered was cracked at the base, but Revane made its replacement the easiest experience I've ever had; The second device is in perfect condition. You'll need a hook or something to hang it up, I used a specially curved hanger piece.

Seems like a good design for birds that are too big for a feeder with short perches like cardinals. We have smaller blue jays here in Central East Florida and they can use this feeder with ease, as can mockingbirds. I got him a bag of sunflower chips, not sure if the seeds and husks would fall out properly. Very satisfied! It feels fairly solid and well made - solid without being overly heavy. 24 hours after installation, it was visited by several small tits! (It's also easy to fill - just press the little button in the middle of the lid and the lid "releases" the wire and lifts up.) I'm not impressionable, but THIS is a really cool little feeder! very easy to whistle. I've noticed that there have been some complaints that the top is "broken" or that buyers are unable to attach it to the body of the feeder. Most of these statements are not true. To be fair, Perky Pet didn't have instructions on how to attach the top, but come on, it's not advanced math.
