This is what it says on the front of the box. "Perfect for installing fasteners up to 1/4" (up to 6mm) My eyeglass screws kept falling out. I tried replacing the screw but it didn't work. I was going to order some red screw lock but ended up having ordered this purple screw lock after reading the description if you are looking for a screw lock for 6mm and under this stuff works fine!my screw won't fall out anymore.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Update availability

Cheaper but identical to purple Loctite!

Product arrived sealed and undamaged, appears to have been on the shelf for years and still works great for its intended purpose (prevents a pair of tactical buttons from coming loose on their own). to stay but don't want to fight or use tools to break the seal. In most cases, once dry, enough elbow grease and lots of twisting can break the seal (but it's not easy if you don't try).

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Almost never

Must Have When You Need It

This is one of those things you just have to have when you need it. I got this because it was actually cheaper than the Loctite brand and as I can see it breaks at about the same strength as the low strength Loctite I need. The lid is resealable so you can keep the stuff closed until the next time you need it. To be honest you use so little at a time that I don't know how much I'll go through the bolts to use up. Will probably end up losing it before I'm done with it.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for quad/drone construction! Keep screws and bolts on quads free from vibration but ensure they are easy to remove, especially on ZMR 250 frames with aluminum top plate supports. If you used blue you may damage the anodized aluminum if you have to work on it. If the fastener is less than 1/4" 6mm, consider using purple! Works well with motor bolts too, and you can use just 2 of these if you're really concerned about the weight and not worried about losing need to make engine in the air.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Concealable

Perfect fit for optic mounting screws

I've been looking for something not as strong as Blue Loctite 242 to hold the thumbscrews on an optic that might loosen over distance. 242 is a bit too heavy, especially with very small screws. I found this purple to be great for anti-vibration on sub-1/2" screws, making them behave similarly to the very thick thread sealant that Magpul puts on the included hardware. Compared to 242, little force is required to remove the screw. I've always been apprehensive about using 242 on smaller screwsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Dope ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Great as expected

Purple works great for just about anything you need to hold on to without worrying about damaging the item later if you ever take it apart or replace it have to. Great for EDC scope knives and firearm optics mounts. I've used blue in the past and it works great for firearms if you want to mount it and forget it, but one bad side of the blue guy is when you change optics like I do in competition like putting in new batteries before a big one Event a few times a year, then purple helps a lot with

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
