Totally worth the time and effort

50% shifts are noticeably smoother. More important than the Motul 300 I put in the gearbox 10,000 miles ago. I have a 2015 Scion FRS.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Annoying

Great little mod: shock absorber

If you don't have a lot of mods it's going to be quite noticeable. The shifter tends to shift better and return to neutral faster. I hope to add MTEC shift springs soon.

Pros
  • Hold my fists
Cons
  • No insurance

Race Cars Only: Shocks, Struts & Suspension

Make sure you know what will happen when you install these upgrades, you will hear a lot of gear noise after installation, it will get better feel, but at the expense of comfort I would only ride on track machines, the first week is cool.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Perrin has redesigned

Looks like a redesign or different part. The switch appears to be looser than the factory socket and does not match the photos in the listing. It would probably be better than a worn bushing, but it has a good quarter inch of play, about twice the factory bushing.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Recommended!++ Suitable for shock absorber bushes

Very easy assembly, see instructions in the gt86club forum. To do this you will need a ratchet and sockets for 10, 12, 13mm and an hour of your time. I absolutely can feel the difference, but also installed it at the same time as the Whiteline powertrain mount. With these two oils and the Motul transmission oil, this car has the best transmission of any car I have ever driven.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Small parts

Not much of a difference, but better than a worn cane

I only got this because it was cheap and I already wanted to work in the area. Other people in the community suggested it to me, so I bought it at the last minute. Installation was relatively easy, although due to other work I removed more than the instructions suggested. I don't notice much of a difference after installation, but it's a little firmer and feels better than a worn stock part that's had 60,000 miles on it. I wouldn't crawl under a car just for this mod, but it's worth it. Price…

Pros
  • Dream come true
Cons
  • Secret

Goes well with other parts

Manufactured in combination with Whiteline KDT926 gearbox support bush and Motul 300 75W90 oil change for gearbox and differential. The car only had 425 miles but I was unhappy with the gearbox and all the forums recommended these 3 items to solve the problem (even the dealer recommended changing the bushing!). I went with a Whiteline KDT926 hub rather than replacing the Perrin gear mount as the Perrin mount is a piece of aluminum that clips under the gear to keep it stable - even Perrin points

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented
