Heating pads don't get as hot

Worked very well for the first week but is heating up less well now. It doesn't get as hot as the first time, so I had to buy another one to go with it.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

Cracked my glass terrarium!

TERRARIUM WITH BROKEN GLASS. Bought to keep under my ball python's aviary on cold winter nights. I cleaned the case and found that the heating element was cracked in several places just above the fairing.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging

Very impressive! in heat pads

I measured power consumption with a sophisticated tester (HIOKI PW3390 Power Analyzer); Consumption equal to the heat (watts) radiated by the heating element and varying from about one watt to fifty-one watts; the dial has a fairly smooth setting; So in a constant temperature environment, you can set it and forget it. If the environment changes a lot, you may need a thermostat. However, I have no plans to add a thermostat; and with 51 watts it is very warm and yet I can hold my hand on it…

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
