Worked great at camping

Used at camping for my 65 lb husky who chewed through his chain and broke his last chain catching on rocks. This one was easy to use and held it perfectly despite tugging hard on it a few times. The clasps worked great but it's too early to talk about durability.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Quality

Disappointed with purchase

I bought this chain and that's it, the chain had no hooks on either end to hang it anywhere. I had to go to the hardware store and buy some small Velcro straps so I could use this. Nowhere in the description does it say there are no hooks in the kit.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Nothing

Excellent and durable: struts and pegs

We have 5 shooters and only one of them can jump over the 6 foot gate. Sometimes, when she's alone on the street, she has to be treated to a steak. She is extremely smart and will dig up steaks or break other chains. We've tried other circuits or devices before, but so far this has been the best. And it's not too difficult.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Excellent product. Bought 2 to mate for our 60 lb golden retriever who loves to get under the fence. Best of all, the chain doesn't tangle, twist, or kink like cables (I've routed at least 10 cables in the last two years and had to route them all). The two chains we bought survived a winter in Ohio without rust. I recommend this product. If you have a small lap dog, you will need a smaller chain.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Clips open too easily

I had to buy this chain because my 5 month old husky cut the plastic coated wire in half. I thought it would be very durable and it was around 2 weeks. The mounting brackets are so weak that my 30kg husky managed to come loose twice. The clips didn't break, they just opened up from the constant movement day after day. Now I have to buy a relatively expensive heavy chain with cattle clips (dogs can't open). I find the Pet Champion chain better for small or not very strong dogs.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • No machine

Very Strong Chain: Learning and Behavioral Aids

This is a very strong and heavy chain. Perfect for my dog because apparently it can break the cords but I think it will last a long time and he won't worry about it breaking. I would advise anyone with a small dog NOT to buy this as it will be too heavy for them. In fact, I wouldn't recommend using it for extended wear at all due to weight and comfort considerations for your dog. My dog uses it very sparingly during the day so he doesn't jump over the fence but as he prefers to be inside hisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rugged Design
Cons
  • Modern

I have a chewing machine that used up 6 zip ties in a year so I had to buy something more permanent and it fits, I bought 2 so it has more surface area to work around the chain is strong , but still light enough, it's no heavier than a cable tie. I know a lot of people find it inhumane to keep dogs on a leash but that's no worse than keeping them in a 20x20cm kennel outside, in my opinion he roams free most of the time but sometimes I just have to tether it for its own protection and it worksโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • A few small things

The fugitive will not run away again.

So far so good. I bought a spiral rod and a red cable to go with it. I've had my fair share of energetic, smart dogs and have known from the past that chains can break and cables can be chewed, so we doubled down this time. I looped the cable around the chain and attached it in several places, then just attached one to the harness and the other to the collar. So far, so good. The chain is a good length and appears to be of good quality. She doesn't really like his weight but she's a big pupโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled
