This will work but as other reviews have said it's quite flimsy and will break down on the dog. It's quite large for my pup so I haven't taken it anywhere yet, but it seems to have adequate ventilation.

This really gets zero stars. Absolutely ridiculously bad design! I am very disappointed in pet products, I expected more from them! Pet Gear are an amazing company although this bag is a huge disappointment!

My 8 lb dog was too big for this bag but he is quite big for an 8 lb dog. Because of this, I ended up sending it back. Ventilation could be better. The only ventilation was a zippered mesh upper. The shoulder design is nice and it looks like a regular wallet which is a plus. If your dog is quiet, chances are no one will notice he's there.

I have had many carriers for my 11 lb Papillon. She's always been slow and uninterested in training, and we just found out that her back and hips are really bad, so that explains a lot. But she really loves to be adventurous and to draw attention, so bags are great for that. This bag is so-so. I did not see "internal dimensions" in the list. Due to photo distortion, I thought it was larger than other R&R lines I've seen. I'm not sure why the external dimensions are listed in the product information. List both side by side. I had to look back at the lists when I wanted to put the LOOOOOOONG Dachshund in my bag.
