PETMATE BARNHOME II DOOR EXTRA SMALL Review

It's well made except it doesn't stay locked. This is a problem if you are going to move it. The stray cat I bought it for won't stay inside. No product defect.

I bought this for my xs cattery which I use for a street cat (formerly a stray). I also have a heating pad for extreme weather. This is the perfect setup that will keep you warm and dry. Without this damper, water would penetrate. There was very little water and it was heavy rain and strong winds.

This is a good shelter for our outdoor cat who took us in but he licks. Rain tends to get inside so I put it under the roof of our garage. I believe duct tape could be used to close the gaps. Styrofoam was added for insulation. Straw makes a warm bed. I also lifted it off the ground.

I had no trouble installing these hinged doors on my cat house. I just put some gorilla tape on it as an extra measure in case the cats knock it out of the slots. It does what it's supposed to do and that's all that matters - keeping them warm and protecting them from the barn rain.

The one I received is different than the one shown here. It was a one piece heavy piece of very flexible plastic with no cut down the middle that seems to work very well. It is also screwed with two self-tapping screws and is very reliable. Overall this seems like a good product and they seem to have solved the problem of the door falling off the hooks.
