Way Too Hard`: Dogs

Very disappointed with this product (turquoise finger brushes). They are just too harsh for all but most macho cats, big dogs etc. My cat is 2 1/2 and under but they must have injured her gums. I bought a very small toothbrush (5 per pack) from Wally W and it works much better. I would not use them on my own teeth. Dentists recommend Soft for adults. If they were "silicone" they would probably be great, but not as they are. Sorry H&H Pets - you have a loser here, IMO.

That was fun! I assume this device would work just fine for brushing my corgi's teeth if the process wasn't such a circus. Given that corgis are your bosses, your chances of getting this thing to work are nil unless you start when the dog is just a pup. I've found that fresh bone marrow from the butcher scrapes fangs much better than this or any other dog toothbrush I've tried. How the hell do you know what the "flavor" of these things is? Does Revane expect us to try? Maybe try brushing your…

More effective than toothbrushes

I've always used toothbrushes and it's okay if your dog enjoys the ritual. Mine are a little tight so I decided to give Fingers a try. Actually, I like them better. You have a little more control and can feel where you brush. To be doubly effective, I tried holding it with two ready (one finger with toothpaste on two fingers) to do a doubly good job. Do not do that. If your dog turns his head just once, the toothpaste from the second finger will smear over his head or jaw, whichever is closer…

Brushing your cat's teeth just got easier!

The first time I tried to brush my cat's teeth (3 cats + my grandmother's cat) it was such a pain. I was using a baby toothbrush and had to have someone hold the cat while I tried to get the toothbrush to make contact with her teeth. I decided to try them and what a huge difference! I was able to brush all 4 cats' teeth myself and quickly. With them you can really feel that you are in contact with their teeth. The finger holes are a little large for my fingers, but I found wrapping a piece of…

A little big, but still very useful

We've gone from dog toothpaste with brushes and toothpaste in a box to just toothpaste because brushes are about $5 a month. But once I switched to just the big brush, I noticed my dog's gums didn't look that healthy, so I decided to get pinky brushes back. Overall they are better than the pinky brushes I got in the arm and hammer combo pack (softer bristles which clean better and are more durable) but they are quite large on my finger making them difficult to use so i can't give them 5 stars…

Too bulky for small dogs

They will do the job if you rub them hard enough and if they fit in your dog's mouth. I got these after my vet recommended a finger toothbrush to my dog, who finds a child's toothbrush too aggressive. I don't know whose finger they are for, but I have a hard time keeping them on my finger because of the size of the finger hole, especially since you need to be able to get a good enough grip to actually brush! They are very bulky so they didn't fit well in my small dog's mouth. The "bristles" are

Great for dogs

I had my 11 year old dog's teeth cleaned and had 2 teeth removed. The vet told me if I brushed her teeth I wouldn't have to brush his again. For those of you in the know, it's quite expensive, up to $1300! So I bought it when he told me the brush really wouldn't work as the dog wouldn't like it. My dog weighs 13 kilos. So I first put some toothpaste on my finger to let her get used to the finger in her mouth. She's not crazy about it, but doing it often without a finger brush has gotten her…
