🐶 Receiver Collar for PetSafe Wireless Pet Containment System Review

This may work for some but we have 4 German Shepherds and 2 of them love to run around. We installed it, went around all the borders, set the flags and checked the collars. We tried training puppies (4 and 6 months old) didn't work. The collars didn't work half the time, and sometimes for no reason. I've tried setting it up multiple times and nothing has worked. Then to top it off a few weeks later one of them lost one of the $150 collars while we were out :(

I have a protection system for my dog, but unfortunately he found the collar in the house and chewed it up. I bought this as a replacement but it didn't work. I twisted the battery to turn it on but the light wouldn't come on. I had spare batteries so I replaced them but it still didn't work. I pushed the button to set the static level but it blinked a few times so I went outside to check it. Nothing! Returned the next day. It was too expensive not to work. I didn't want to leave it with my dog

I have 2 dogs that use these collars. We have had this system for many years and it works. Our street is a "shortcut" and people drive too fast. No matter how hard we tried, our Jack Russell walked around us and ran away. We didn't want him to get run over and we couldn't catch him if he ran away. Well I have a Petsafe Wireless system and have been using it for years with no problems. I had to buy this collar because we inherited a new dog. The instructions were weak at best, but we were able to google the parts that weren't well explained and we were able to tweak them. I have a Dutch Shepherd on this collar and because he is new to 'open space' we set the setting to 5 because any value below 4 would have him running right over the fence.
