*This* is the solution to your vertical GPU question!

I liked the idea of placing graphics cards vertically; reveal the fans and reduce the load on the PCIe slot. But I was concerned about the quality of the solution. Where could I get one that wasn't just cobbled together by a one night stand in Hong Kong? I found it in a Phanteks product! Your V2 mount is the best there is! And paired with current covers (with a PSU cover below) it's generally perfect! My Cooler Master TD500 mesh case was *MADE* for this mount! When removing the slot protectors,

The perfect mount for the right case

CoolerMaster was stupidly clunky. CableMod has pushed the entire setup further forward. Phanteks was just right for me. *To use this bracket, your case must have an open back panel, with no brackets crossing the PCIe slot area.*Installation is easy:1. the extension cable is screwed to the bracket.2. The GPU is plugged into the extension cable and screwed to the bracket.3. The cable plugs into the mobo, and the bracket plugs into the case like a regular GPU.4. secure attachment with 3 knurled…

Great vertical mount! [Would NOT recommend it more.]

I've used it in Corsair 680X and Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic cases and it's amazing. Once you mount the GPU on the bracket, the whole mounting kit is very stable and durable. I had to modify the Corsair case to access the vertically mounted display ports (HMDI/DP) by cutting the cross braces between the PCI-e brackets. With Lian Li, I had to cut off a small piece of the Phanteks mounting bracket to fit the case, referring to another review by Travis Teinert. Thanks for that. [Update November 2020]…

Not perfect but works (modified)

I ordered this mount because it was the cheapest vertical mount on the market. The mount is very light and feels thin. I figured it would never hold my huge Asus ROG 1070 without sagging. However, once I tightened everything up, it proved surprisingly durable. It comes with a pair of rubber grommets that clip under the floor for more grip, but I don't find it essential unless you just want quiet. I haven't noticed any performance issues either. However, this mount has a serious design flaw. As…

Best choice for the dynamic O11D case.

If you have a dynamic Lian Li O11D and want fans and a heatsink on the bottom, this is the GPU mount you need. Trust me I spent about $200 trying different mounts. Not only was it the cheapest, it was also the best. The PCI riser cable is better made than the competition and the clip really keeps the card in place. The caveat is that you still need to modify it a bit. You only have to cut off part of the grille on the bracket so you can move it one more PCI slot than seems intended. I used…

Not so versatile and flimsy

I have a Phanteks Eclipse P400 case and bought it thinking it would fit as it's from the same company. Well, actually not that much. First off, the riser mount is made from very thin stamped steel. It's not able to adequately support the weight of the RTX 2070 without sagging. When trying to mount it to my case, I had to bend the bracket to align all three mounting screws, but then I had trouble clearing the expansion slot. There is a 90 degree tab on the top of the bracket that should fit into

Read before you buy: External sound cards

There were some problems with the installation as it does not fit the 011-D very snugly and therefore the thumbscrews (which are captive) cannot be screwed in. Once you get it and have a GPU installed, things won't be that bad. Note that if you are using an X570 motherboard and a Radeon 5700/XT you will need to go into your UEFI and manually set the PCIe mode to Gen 3 or you will not get any video output on your monitor. There are currently no PCIe 4 compatible vertical cables, this is not…

My long journey is over

Purchased for Lian Li o11 Dynamic. After trying at least 3 other adapter cables and vertical GPU mounting solutions (all failed for one reason or another), I found this gem. This $30 device is 50% cheaper than other solutions I've tried. Looking through the reviews I was concerned that this device would (apparently) require some hacking to fit the o11 Dynamic. I'm happy to announce that as of December 2019, Phanteks may have quietly revamped its design. Mine didn't have to cut or saw anything…

Best Overall Vertical GPU Mounting Option

Pretty easy to install, you have to think about how to connect it to your motherboard and how to bend the cable. I first mounted my GPU to the bracket, then plugged the extension cable into the PCIe slot while holding the bracket closed, then positioned it and tightened the screws. It's easier to mount the bracket separately than to insert the GPU, but the design of my case makes this almost impossible. So yeah, just do a few try ons and make a plan. The metal is not "thin" at all as some…

Works as intended. for computers and accessories

The reason I deduct 2 stars is because the metal is very thin. You can practically bend it with your hands with very little effort. I installed my GPU, had it grab the screws and screwdriver and just couldn't support it. The tip of my GPU actually went down and touched the fan below and bent the bottom of the GPU bracket. I bought a Cable Mod and a Cooler Master to see which one I like best. The cable mod vertical GPU kit had the best build quality, Cooler Master came second and it was the…
