There was no quick start guide as stated on the box. I answered the phone. It took several hours for the dock to sync with my phone. Once that was done, I set the alarm to MF; he called every day. Bad: Bluetooth connection drops in the middle of the night if not actively used. So in order for my cell phone alarm to play through the speakers, I MUST use a night sleep aid to keep the bluetooth connected. So I'm deducting a star - Could be a bit more intuitive and user-friendly, especially when it comes to setting the time - There doesn't seem to be a backup battery in case of a power outage. A serious problem with this product is not really a Philips fault. Android phone developers are responsible for using Micro USB. I'm not sure about the iPhone 5 with the new Lightning connector, but the old Firewire connector was good for docking for two reasons. 1) It was wide and strong and provided a good base to hold the iPhone upright and secure. 2) It transmitted power AND data to charge your phone and didn't require Bluetooth or a separate cable.
