I bought these to extend the range of some of the CCTV cameras I have installed and to be able to run thicker cables to avoid voltage drop due to cable resistance. They are well made and fit together well. Happy with the purchase.

Just got back here to look at the specs and make sure they can handle the power I need. The description says the wire is 18 AWG, but it's not. I connect them with 18 AWG wire and this wire is slightly smaller than this one. I think it's 22 gauge. I wouldn't use them for anything approaching the 5 amps they say they are for in the description.

I used it to charge 12V batteries and would like to use batteries from another manufacturer. They have exposed metal on the front ends of the connectors, making it easy to accidentally short the center and outer conductors when mating a plug to a socket, causing sparks and potentially damaging the battery.

returned these horrible connectors - poor quality, poor description, great return process I don't care about the flush fit but compared to similar connectors on my workbench they definitely are of low quality and made of unnamed, unmarked wires. Don't risk your equipment with these connectors!

I have used Anderson electric poles for a variety of purposes but had a few issues which I felt made them quite unreliable. I switched to them instead of power poles and have never looked back. They are fast, reliable and easy to install. Just use a reliable crimping tool and I also use heat shrink tubing to cover crimp tubes and I have a working, durable alternative to power poles.

Within about 20 plugging operations I was able to disable every connector (ohmmeter shows open circuit) on the inner conductor. The voltage never exceeded 12V 0.5A. Of course, this error was only discovered after soldering and shrinking. Throw them away and ordered some high end RC battery connectors instead. There was also an uncomfortable rattle in both plugs and sockets.

After laying out my project and testing everything to make sure everything worked as it should, I started soldering all my wires to assemble and shrink all my solder joints and everything was set up for my first test, when I connected the power supply.
