Sturdy and lightweight weatherproof to hold game feeders. This winch saves us the trouble of lugging 50 pounds of corn up a ladder and dumping it in the feeder. We just lower it and then raise it.

I only used it to hold and lift a wild feeder that contained about 25 pounds of corn. The little cog quickly broke. Raven sent replacements. It broke under the same conditions after about six months. If he had quality equipment, everything would be fine.

This winch works well it is used as a gas lantern to raise a pole in a pond so it is very light work but works well and works still not rust or corrosion despite being exposed to the elements 24/7. and a higher quality cord and hook than I expected for the money, it's definitely a good buy.

This winch has not been in operation for 3 months. I used it to support a 40 foot aluminum pole that weighed about 150 pounds. It was delivered in July and in November the gearbox itself was simply broken. The metal broke - unaffected by extreme forces or extreme weather. The company refused to replace or even offer a replacement discount. Just do without this product.

Does what it's supposed to. You can set a lock for safe unwinding or winding, or you can set a loose spool. I'm not using it at the limit of its rated capacity, so I can't comment on its actual capacity or pull. But for my purposes (see photos below), lifting 33 feet of really tall Christmas lights makes it easier to do what we used to hand stretch!,

Worked after changing the spring on the ratchet brake. Mine was probably returned by the buyer as it arrived in a newly taped box with the cable coiled loosely to clamp the cable onto itself and coiled back which is really hard to believe. Since I didn't have time I couldn't wait for a replacement so I had to get it working. There's nothing more annoying than paying for something that's advertised as new and turns out not to be new, and then wasting time trying to fix it to make it work. Avoid.
