My lovebirds definitely like the nest. They showed some mating behavior so I decided to give them this nest. They definitely love being here. All I have to do is keep her from chewing it so it doesn't fall apart. But they love it and so do I

The wood it is made of is like faux wood and feels soft so I don't think it will fail the chew test. Easy to install, but more than meets the eye on the web. Good thing I have a huge aviary. I have a pair of parrots but they don't get close to her. The time will show. I'll update when they do.

I had a hard time setting this up. The screws were difficult to insert. Everything was fine during setup, but the setup process itself was tricky as you tried to put your hand deep into the box. After all the trouble, my parrots didn't climb there with their eggs. I put their eggs in to convince them and they went in and took out the eggs! They liked it better outside the cage!

I have bought several of these from various retailers on Revain. Again from the seller, the nests arrived in good condition, fully assembled and ready to use. These following boxes are basically the same, they are not built to last. They are made of a very soft wood that birds love to eat even before they use it as a nest. They look good but are not very durable. For durability I would suggest buying harder wood nest boxes.

This was my first time buying a birdhouse so I have no comparison. It was a nice box and it served its purpose. The lock fell off after being used twice and you can no longer get the screws into the wood. It seems too soft to hold its shape around the screw. We had to change the way we hung it because it didn't fit in our cage with doors. It also didn't fit in our backup cage. I suggest measuring the space where you plan to place the box. Soft enough wood for my budgie to chew for nest material, but strong enough not to fall apart completely. The holes were too close to the metal hole but I managed to find it inside so I could easily access the lid to look inside. Biggest complaint is the small dowel that goes under the door.
