Description of πŸš— Planet Audio MB1200.1D 1200W Monoblock Class D Car Amplifier - 1 Ohm Stable, Digital, Mosfet Power Supply, Ideal for Subwoofers

Power - 1200 Watts Max x 1 @1-Ohm, 600 Watts Max x 1 @2-Ohms, 300 Watts Max x 1 @4-Ohms. Class D - Power loss is significantly reduced making the amplifier highly efficient. Excess energy is stored until it’s needed instead of being converted into heat. Reduction in size/weight, reduced power waste, smaller heat sink, compact circuitry. 1 Ohm Stable - Able to continuously power loads of 1 Ohm without encountering difficulties such as overheating. Typically made to power up subwoofers that demand the heavier power load requirements to be able to perform the way they were made to. Variable Bass Boost - Bass Boost allows you to adjust the low bass within the boost range to just the way you like it. Variable Subsonic Filter - To prevent your subwoofer(s) from bottoming out, the variable subsonic filter filters out frequencies below the subwoofer(s) specified low frequency limits and allows the driver to reach a maximum safe excursion. Variable Low Pass Crossover - Subwoofers reproduce sound based on a number of different low-range frequencies. You can set exact sound specifications for the bass frequency reproduction. Variable Gain Control - The gain control is not for adjusting volume. It simply adjusts the amount of signal that is coming from your receiver and going to your amplifier. Specs - Dimensions: 7.57” x 5.12” x 1.7”, Weight: 2.9 lbs. Warranty – Planet Audio provides a powerful 6 year Platinum Online Dealer Warranty so long as the purchase is made through Amazon.Com. We strongly encourage professional installation of this product to ensure proper and safe functionality. Included Components: Remote Subwoofer Control, User'S Manual.

never mind for Car Audio

I had to search Sonicelectronics for legitimate RMS ratings. That's slightly better than the performance of the head unit. The volume has increased, of course, but not by much, but the SQ has improved. Barely works the JBL 609c in the front and the skate in the middle in the back. Price wise I got a much better deal before Rhona but that reflects the current times so not a huge deal breaker. Loud enough for me, a daily suburban slave, but I won't expect a war of ringing deafness either.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are problems

The Grate amp is surprisingly powerful for its size.

This particular amp is shocking. The quality is so amazing I couldn't understand how much sound is coming out of this unit. Its size surprised me. When I opened the box I said damn this is a joke. The joke was mine. This amp is a real gem and all the stuff that comes with the amp oh btw be careful I almost returned the amp not realizing the bass button was foam. In any case, the Lattice amplifier is definitely worth it for the price. I will recommend πŸ‘Œ

  • GOLS certified

Performance Not what is advertised

I noticed that there aren't any reviews for it yet. So let me be the first I bought it to hopefully upgrade the 300w Alpine amp I had with four Skar 6.5 midrange drivers rated at 300w max. Here are the facts. After installing this amp and setting the gain to maximum there is no difference at all in my speakers. If I was getting Alpine's 50W RMS per speaker I would expect decent gain from this amp, but there was no gain at all. That's why you won't find any RMS rating at all on this amp anywhere

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not automatic

Just don't do it for mono amps

This is 1000% deception. THERE IS NO WAY to max this out at 1200W. #1, Power connectors are TOO SMALL. They won't even accept a 4 gauge wire to power it #2, the speaker output is WAY small to effectively drive any true subwoofer. or 16 gauge. Not enough to deliver enough power for a real subwoofer. The fact that it has 2 x 20w fuses means it cannot exceed 400w should those fuses blow. On the workbench this thing could only get 372W @ 1 ohm (not certified). Not the 1200w advertised as the max…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Doesn't work as advertised, junk amp

This amp claims to be rated at 600 watts RMS into 4 ohms, a piece of junk will be happy to put out 300 watts into 4 ohms. Battery with a suitable cable cross-section and a high-quality loudspeaker cable and barely reaches 290 watts in bridge operation. The setup guide is even more useless and doesn't provide any useful information on setting the input level and filter, just telling you to use your ears. If I hadn't spent so much time installing this amp I would have sent it back at this point…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Nothing here

Looks good from the outside but doesn't work

I bought this product after reading all the reviews Install it going through the whole process of running all the cables and all to make exactly how you wanted to buy the book. Then I had to wait to get my sub because it was on standby and showed up 3 weeks after installing the amp I was excited I plugged in the amp and turned everything on and the red light on the amp was the app immediately bad. I was so pissed I only wanted one more and I couldn't even get them to just send me one instead I…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but something was

I bought this amp for my wife and her two 12" MTX Thunder speakers that she has. They have a resistance of 2 ohms. It sounded pretty good (I mean, these aren't very good speakers with bass reduction). I have my own stereo. I have 2 12" Fosgate P3s in a slotted box. I used a Pioneer Champion 9601D series rated at 2400 watts into 1 ohm. I've fried it twice in a couple of years. So I borrowed the amp from my wife. I was absolutely amazed. They are little mini clowns. He doesn't claim 1200 into 1…

Pros
  • Great workmanship
