Basically a large and sturdy rubbish bag in a reduced size. I'm buying these to replace the horrible Hefty "Strong" bags that seem to rip just looking at them. These are thick, durable bags. A bit more expensive than the cheaper thin packs but well worth it. This amount will be enough to survive the coming 48-month economic catastrophe.

I have bought these several times over the years. I was happy to pay a premium for a higher quality bag. Something has changed lately. You are not as fat as before. Up until the last few orders, the packages were completely opaque. Now they are transparent. I had two flat tires and had to double pack something the other day because I didn't think the bag would hold it. Very disappointed!

I've been using Hefty Tall Blackout bags for years, but Hefty recently made these bags shorter, narrower and thinner, which many reviewers complained about. These bags don't fit in my bins anymore, but they're the perfect size and twice the thickness of Hefty. PlasticPlace lists the sizes in the product description, so check before ordering. The maximum can circumference is 48" and since I'm a 47 1/2" I took a chance on these bags and am very happy with them.

I'm so tired of the big brand bin bags. They're getting fewer and fewer. They are not suitable for 13 gallon canisters. You fall in. I usually have to change the bag before it's full. But not in this case. These bags will fill a typical 13 gallon trash can completely from top to bottom. They are thicker than many well-known brands. I ordered these because I wanted stronger garbage bags, strong enough for heavier items. Although I collect kitty litter in small bags to toss into 13 gallon bags, they snag and tear and I often have small litter stains. I used to love black hefty bags, but then, as some people have already noticed, the company decided to change their bags for the worse, making them smaller and thinner. I use these bags for kitchen waste, recycling and outdoor litter collection. (I feel the need to point out dog poop because I thought of that when re-reading my review). These bags are not broken or torn. I only fill 2/3 of the way when used in an outdoor waste bin. I have 3 dogs that weigh over 100lbs each, the largest is a Great Dane. That's a lot of poo. 4.5 stars, but I've rounded up. They're heavier than the ones I was looking to replace which means they fit my trash better. They're not too expensive considering there are 200 in the pack. My little quibble explaining the loss of half a star is that there is a large heavy box that contains 4 rolls of 50 bags and that's fine!
