This was a great birthday present for a 3 year old. It was sad that the other gifts ended up in the spotlight, but this gift is one he can always come back to. At least his parents liked it more than his son. I would still recommend this gift to any child who has imagination and loves to build.

This is a great set that allowed my preschoolers to build their own cars using parts large enough not to be easily lost. The only downside is that once you take everything out of the container, the students can't quickly reassemble everything and close the lid (I had to get another container to put them in).

Very well designed toy. I have bought many of these fancy rod toys and many times you have found that the wheels don't work properly or the magnets don't fit or there aren't enough parts etc. But this is the best rod toy we have. ever gotten. Beautifully designed and so versatile that even adults like to play with it. I love that the toy screwdriver has a safety feature so it doesn't jam nuts and bolts.

Excellent set! I love giving educational toys to my friends kids because they are gender neutral, kids and parents love them (sometimes they can even play together). Their little creative minds are off the charts (probably better than Lego). The set comes with its own storage box so everything can be neatly stored away. I am very happy with this purchase.

My 4 year old plays with this set every day. We end up having a second set so he can build more things and play with them together. It's nice that this set includes 2 screwdrivers/wrenches to play with a friend. Also, I did the math and there were actually 110 of them, so that's good. There are things about the toy itself that could be improved - like making the screws longer so they can connect more than two pieces, or making the bricks longer to fit a wheel on each side (they are anyway…

This was supposed to be a birthday present for my soon to be 3 year old but he found the package and I couldn't refuse.
