Premium price for a mediocre product

Benefits1. Comfortable headphone.2. Surround sound and custom sound profiles are great fun. Cons: 1. USB dongle overheats after 1 hour of use and shuts down, then restarts after a few seconds. This problem occurs several times within 5 minutes.2. The wireless technology of the headset keeps dropping out. It gets interrupted by nearby WiFi, causing the audio to cut out all the time. Conclusion: For over 100€ I should have no problems with this product. Out of the box it should work great…

I must have a bad batch.

I ordered one, tested it for at least two weeks and heard crackling noise with audio dropouts and connection issues. Quit and replaced him hoping he would change. nope The audio still crackles and cuts out when the headset loses connection. I'm maybe 10-15 feet from the PS4 and I've also reset the headset so I'm confused as I had to replace my Golds as my dog destroyed a speaker. I was expecting the sound to be top notch for the price I paid but my gold ones sounded much better and platinum 3D…

Better with gold instead of

Was gold and they worked great after they broke Bought a pair of these. Big mistake, when I turn up the volume it starts cutting out the sound. I then checked and said I need to restart the PS4 controller because the bluetooth might be disconnecting so I did that and it worked fine for a short time then the same problem came back so I had to repeat the process and again. So I've found that if you have a lot of bluetooth devices around your house or set them up, this headset will drop…

This one fits better, but has some serious problems

After a month or two I switched back to the "Gold" headset. This fits better but has a couple of big issues: 1. The knobs are small and sharp, making them cumbersome and a little painful to adjust.2. The side effect is so minimal even at maximum volume that I can't even tell if the sound is muted or not, and often accidentally speak loudly.3. The mute indicator is on the back, so it's not visible until you remove it. It is confusing why this choice was made.4. Several gamers have complained…

Better than the Gold headset.

Looks fantastic, I like the in ear mic and the sound quality is definitely better than the gold headset. The biggest item on my list of gold headsets is durability. Those stupid plastic hinges broke even with careful use on TWO gold headsets. I figured spending money on a better headset would be cheaper in the long run. The durability is remarkable, they are much better built. BUT they are also surprisingly uncomfortable. Whoever invented the bandage tried it on for 30 seconds and decided it…

Perfect for 2 PS4 Pro and about to buy a 3rd

So I can tell you that I've read about 500 reviews of different headsets and it seems that all of them have certain disadvantages when it comes to connecting to PS4 goes. Well I bought one of these a long time ago and I really liked it so now I have a second one. For people who don't read the instructions, I would suggest flipping through them quickly. If you buy them and leave them on regular presets I'd say they're just average. I think preset 1 has a normal sound and 2 has more bass. After…

Just incredibly disappointed!

I have a Turtle Beach PX4 and I have to say they sound worse than these. I don't know how this headset gets so many rave reviews. I was very excited when I received it. Setup was incredibly easy (insert USB stick, turn on, play). Of course I changed the settings (had to change the audio going to the headset, like all audio, not just the chat audio). It just wasn't as loud as the PX4, which was surprising. On my PX4, the game volume is always turned down by about 60%, but the Platinum can't…

BUY GOLD EDITION - IT'S GARBAGE

Firstly I have a Gold Edition headset and also this Platinum version. I bought the Platiunum version to use with my Sony VR. This headset seems to have been specially designed for Sony VR - at least that's what the website says. Stairs and outside let's say about 100 feet. never interrupted and my voice was carried loud and clear to my department. This PLATINUM edition headset starts cutting as I get into the kitchen - about 10 feet. Also, if you approach a wall, you will lose the signal. Once…

Astro A50 vs. PS4 Platinum

I will compare Astro A50 with PS4 Platinum headset because Astro A50 was my main gaming headset before I bought PS4 Platinum headset - Sound quality: Astro A50 has better sound quality. It's not that the PS4 Platinum is bad, there's not a huge difference in quality, but if you're a music lover you'll notice the difference. The PS4 Platinum has a more exaggerated sound while the A50 sounds more natural. The A50 has the best range in terms of sound quality (works well on low, mid and high…
