A much-needed fix to a strange problem

This was supposed to replace a more generic USB-C adapter on an HP laptop that wasn't working. It turns out that the HP laptop's USB-C is a "data only" USB port and cannot plug/manage HDMI connections from the adapter. This plug-in DisplayPort adapter solved the problem with just two new DisplayPort to HDMI cables. I emailed Plugable support about laptop compatibility prior to purchase and they responded to me within 2 hours of shipping saying it should work but if not they have a 30 day Money…

Pros
  • Yearly Trial
Cons
  • Speed

This adapter is SUPER! No heat

I have a Microsoft Surface Book 2 and needed to extend the screen to two external monitors. I bought this adapter to replace a USB-C dual HDMI adapter that was constantly getting very hot and causing my monitors to cycle on and off every 5 minutes. This adapter is SUPER! It doesn't get hot, so it looks like it can handle input and output pretty well. More importantly, my monitors don't flicker every 5 minutes! I use the adapter about 4 days, I work 8-10 hours a day. My monitors just flickered…

  • Long range

Great device. I wish the cord was a foot longer!

Excellent product. It worked as soon as I installed the drivers on my Surface Book2. The main reason I wanted this was to offload some connections from the surface dock. It chokes when I have 3 monitors, ethernet and 2 USB devices and the docking station can't handle it. I swapped out 2 monitors and ethernet to this unit and now everything is running so smoothly. I can get even more speed with gigabit fiber since I'm always wired. The only downside is that I really wish the cord was a bit…

Pros
  • Finally bought

Drives two 4K displays at 60Hz via USB-C port as described

DisplayLink delivers good email customer service; I found a bug and they listened and then said they already found it and it will be fixed in the next driver release. I originally bought it to have two external displays on my MacBook Air M1. It works great (if you don't expect high frame rates in games), but then I realized I needed a docking station that also charges the computer; otherwise I have no more ports between this and the power supply. But I liked how it worked, so I bought a docking

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons

Unreliable for networking products

I've been using it for 7 months now with my Surface Pro 7 and dual monitors. It works fine when I first turn on the computer, but the longer I work, the more likely it is that the system will slow down and become so unstable that I have to restart the computer. I basically gave up on this display adapter until I found something else that fits my needs and actually works consistently.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Dual 4K @ 60Hz: Networking Products

I recently bought a new Asus laptop and wanted to connect my 4K displays to it. I tried a Targus dock from a big department store and was concerned that getting two 4k@60hz just wasn't possible. After a day of wrestling with this dock I bought this one. I got home, plugged it in and 2 minutes after installing the driver both monitors were running at 60Hz with no issues. I had no issues with flickering or disconnecting. I am very satisfied with this product. The only wish is that the USB-C cable

Works as it should.

I use Alienware 17r4 and Inspirion 15 7000 for gaming and with this device I can use 2 LG 27 monitors with each gaming machine. Works well, just remember to bring the displayport cables with the device. The RJ45 port works fine but I have a killer gigabyte so I don't need the port. Great purchase that allows my system to use 3 of my laptop displays. (Notebook and 2 LG 27 incl.)

Pros
  • Easy to use
