A much-needed fix to a strange problem

This was supposed to replace a more generic USB-C adapter on an HP laptop that wasn't working. It turns out that the HP laptop's USB-C is a "data only" USB port and cannot plug/manage HDMI connections from the adapter. This plug-in DisplayPort adapter solved the problem with just two new DisplayPort to HDMI cables. I emailed Plugable support about laptop compatibility prior to purchase and they responded to me within 2 hours of shipping saying it should work but if not they have a 30 day Money back guarantee, no questions asked. Great service and so far a great product.
