They work great! best in network adapters

OLD REVIEW: They seem to work. I expected a little more range from them. I tried it on both Linux and Windows, but the distance and stability weren't good enough for use on a headless machine. I kept them because in an emergency it would be better than nothing. I ordered two of these and they both work the same way. NEW REVIEW: My previous review was critical of them. The manufacturer/retailer contacted me and offered a replacement, refund or whatever would make me happy - I kept it anyway…

I bought it specifically to work with https://amzn.to/2K9oGCn Yealink SIP-T48G Gbit VoIP Phone Ultra-Elegant Touchscreen. Because it has the same chipset as https://amzn.to/2HHuYuQ Yealink WF40 (Realtek RTL8188CUS chipset). A decent amount of money saved and made right out of the box, no setup required. The phone recognized it immediately. Let me know if this review helped you make a purchase decision.

Amazing reception good for computers and accessories

I was blown away by this little Wi-Fi adapter. It comes with a minidisk (about half the size of a regular CD) containing the drivers, or you can download the latest version from http://plugable.com/drivers/usb-wifint. Place the driver on your computer, double click the executable (.exe file) to install the driver, plug the adapter into a USB 2 port and you have Wi-Fi standards b, g and n activated. Looking through the wireless network he created on my laptop, I was amazed at its range: I could…

Fixed my Wi-Fi issues

My laptop would not stay connected and disconnected every 5 minutes and I had to reset the Wi-Fi adapter. I bought this plugin and it's running again with no problems. I'm using Windows 8.1 and everything works great. Easy to install, just plug in, update drivers and setup Wi-Fi connection and you're good to go. Highly recommended.

WORKS ON OOMA TELO!

I got this USB WiFi dongle because it has a Realtek RTL8188CUS chipset. This chipset is powered by Ooma Telo. If you are looking for a wireless device (USB) for Ooma Telo, look no further, it works. You must already have a wired connection (or at least a connection) to Ooma to set up this device. Once you have it set up (choose SSID etc) either restart Ooma, disconnect your cable connection and once connected go back to settings to check everything. At this point, the device feels warm, not…

Easy to install but ridiculously slow

Installation was quick and easy - just plug it in and it will automatically install in seconds. My problem is that this adapter causes HUGE internet speed drops. I have a download speed of 200 Mb/s at home and expect to experience speed drops when using a Wi-Fi connection. And I tested the connection over 2.4GHz to have lower speeds than 5.0GHz. But even through 2.4 the speed I get with this adapter is 16-18MB/s while another laptop next to it is using the same Wi-Fi connection but a different…

all I had to do was order a very cheap plug n play USB stick

Life saver! I have an HP Envy 17. When I upgraded to Windows 10, things were never the same again. The same thing happened on the Lenovo Thinkpad. For well over a year I was certain it was an internet service and/or wireless router. Turns out all I had to do was order a very cheap plug n play USB stick! I literally opened the package, plugged it into a USB socket, pressed WIFI 2 in the settings and I've had a stable and clear Wi-Fi signal ever since. So, so, so happy!

No way? Network adapter

So, I look at this product and think - this little thing can't be of any use. Guess what. It works great. My WiFi has always been a bit slow, but after I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 5000 series laptop from 8.1 to 10, the WiFi slowed down to a point where it was unacceptable. Tried all the usual solutions - did not help. I have used other plugin products so I decided to try this one. I appreciate good customer service, but what happened was just overkill. Plugable Technologies sent me a link to…

The signal is very bad. for network adapter USB

I read all the rave reviews and thought it would be great, but at speeds of around 11-15kb it's not. My son's computer has internal WiFi and he gets 10MB, not KB. I could also use dial-up. I've searched the plugable site and done everything they've told others but still no luck. I gave them 3 stars because they really seem to be trying to help. If the USB extender I just ordered works, my rating will change. I'm sorry to write this but I'm disappointed and feel like it was a waste of money for…
