I wish I had bought this sooner

If you do a lot of PVC work (lawn sprinklers?) just get this one. I've tried the melt option for years. Such a waste of time. It's much easier, safer and faster.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Unreliable

DOES NOT WORK ON SCHEDULE 80.

THE TOOL IS GREAT AND WORKS AS SPECIFIED. BUT NOT ON PLAN 80 I TAKE A 1 INCH INCLINE DRILL AND DRILL THE PIPE AND THEN THE TOOL FOUND. I WANT THE SALESMAN TO SAY HE WILL NOT WORK ON THE 80 SCHEDULE.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

this thing is amazing. if this little gem wasn't available.

This item is amazing. If this little gem wasn't available I would build up the concrete, it cleaned up the damaged PVC and let me reuse the T which made a perfect seal the first time I saved hundreds with $11

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Available in black only

So easy to use and works as advertised!

I am always working on my carp pond so I have a lot of different PVC fittings and valves. When adding various components to a filter system, I always cut out the fittings and usually throw away the used ones. Well, not anymore. I've used this on a check valve and some other fittings and it worked like a charm. The tool has already paid for itself. Now I'm looking at a different one, a different size.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • ---

Great time and labor savings.

PlumBest J44100 Socket Saver, 1 inch This tool saved me a ton of time and money having to dig out the site and replace a few fittings and lines. The defective fitting can be reused without any problems. The cost of this tool is much less than I would otherwise have had to spend to fix it. I also bought 1/2" and 3/4" tools but don't need them yet. I'm sure they will work just as well.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Hard to say

Great time and labor savings.

PlumBest J44100 Socket Saver, 1" This tool saved me a lot of time and money as I would have had to dig up the site and replace a few fittings and lines. It only took a few minutes to easily prepare the broken fitting for reuse. The cost of this tool is much less than I would otherwise have had to spend to fix it. I've also bought 1/2" and 3/4" inch tools but haven't had to use them yet. I'm sure they will work just as well.

Cons

Excellent tool

If you are looking to repair an existing glued joint this is invaluable. I had a broken pipe that went into a PVC fitting at a 90 degree angle. Replacing the 90 degree elbow was a difficult task at best where it was and it would require me to rebuild much of the sprinkler head. I was able to use this tool to set the knee in clean enough to hold. It is NOT a perfectly smooth surface, but with a bit of sandpaper it cleaned up well enough to fit a new tube. There is a similar tool from another…

Pros
  • Removes Schedule 40 plastic pipe
Cons
  • Available in white only
