Terrible customer support!

At first I had trouble operating this device. I was charged $46 to speak to a tech support rep named "Pradeep" after contacting 3 other people from the helpdesk. I implemented the suggested solution. At first it didn't solve my problem. And I couldn't get Pradeep to answer multiple requests. Eventually I just turned off the chat and continued through trial and error until the hardware worked. This has to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you're considering buying this…

Very good scanner, excellent customer service

Summary: Good scanner, basically keeps what it promises. The scanning speed depends on the speed of your computer and the selected memory/DPIExcellent customer serviceLong version: The adage "You get what you pay for" applies to this scanner. The scanner is easy to use and basically meets its needs for dust and scratch cleaning. Not everything, but it cleans better than nothing, you'll have to try different settings for this option. I have used 20-30 year old negatives/slides that have not been

This is the best device I could find for my big slide conversion job.

I'm looking at over 23,000 slides. I will select about 2500 to digitize and preserve for posterity. 135i does everything I need. It took me a little while to figure out what all the settings would do. I started with the included Quickscan software. It turned out to be a little awkward to use, but it had very good features. Scans can easily be sent directly to Photoshop. The scanning was so good that I felt I rarely needed PhotoShop. I switched to the VueScan software. With that, I might not…

Pros
  • Scanners and supplies
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Really good scanner

This is a really good scanner for an amateur photographer and probably good enough for many professionals. to. Downloading and installing the software went smoothly. The installation guide was accurate and the instruction manual is clearly written. Most importantly, the scanner worked well right out of the box. It's solidly built. Even the film holders are pretty solid. The program is really very simple. Very few settings need to be adjusted (but keep in mind that you have to go to the settings
