Despite being plastic, it's not flimsy and seems more than durable enough for its intended use. The tong slots work well and are graduated in width from large to small left to right. This is a great space saving concept, but unless you have the cheapest non-handled tools you can't use half of them. The tool handles are too thick to fit in (half the) slots.
