Good quality - my new review

Better than the more higher price models. Can shoot both 15 and 16 size nails. I like the enclosed rail. It helps keep the nail clips from picking up debris and dust. This is a heavy duty nailer.

Pros
  • The NuMax SFN64WN is a powerful pneumatic nailer that guarantees professional results
Cons
  • Not suitable for use with low-quality or thin nails

I couldn't be happier with these NuMax products.

I could not be happier with these NuMax guns. I have the 18 gauge I bought to finish a project, it has worked wonderfully for years. I bought this to do another project, based on the success with the 18. I am just a home owner DIYer, so I have not sent 10,000 nails through it. I have used it on two projects, and it has worked flawlessly. I did experience a 5 minute learning curve loading the nails. I expected the magazine to open like the 18, it does not. There is a little slot in the back the…

Pros
  • trim work but the safety makes it hard to do angle shots without pulling out the ole nail punch
Cons
  • Loud enough to potentially cause hearing damage over time

Works as intended great value for price

Its a nailer it works. Using it to face nail hardwood flooring near walls where flooring nailer can’t reach. 3 rooms down and the nailer is working fine.

Pros
  • Comfort grip handle reduces fatigue and increases control
Cons
  • The air compressor required for operation is another tool that must be purchased separately

Does a pretty good job

This finish nailer drives the nails fine except for the nail heads will not go below flush with the no-mar tip attached. I removed the rubber tip and it did much better. I covered the tip of the nailer with a couple of layers of duct tape to prevent marring of the wood surface which worked fine.

Pros
  • Es una herramienta muy útil
Cons
  • Potentially dangerous if not used with caution and proper safety gear

Good Replacement good for me

Was in the middle of a project when Porter Cable "crapped out" (gets used A Lot).Cost of repair part was almost as much as price for this & no guaranty to be the only thing needed. So, purchased this & it works fine, no problem.also accepts more sized nails than PC similar model. Will still repair PC, but now have a spare that's just as good.

Pros
  • With a firing rate of up to 70 nails per minute, the NuMax SFN64WN boosts your productivity
Cons
  • Not compatible with all brands of nails

Great value: my feedback

It takes a little adjustment to get the hang of using one of these, but it has been easy to mount my new baseboards with it. Definitely recommend!

Pros
  • Tool-free depth adjust for various applications
Cons
  • Inconsistent performance with lower-quality nails

Well built quality nail gun.

I purchased this in February of 2016 and have driven a few thousand nails of various lengths. Early on I had one jam but it was easily cleared and has worked flawlessly since with the exception of this weekend. The gun was working fine and when it suddenly failed to grab the next nail in the slide. The tip that drives the nail did not recede far enough back into the drive to clear the path for the next nail. Long story short, turns out these pneumatic nailers require periodic oiling. First I've

Pros
  • Finish Nailers
Cons
  • Not designed for precision woodwork or cabinetmaking

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well on my review.

Great price and has worked well so far. I'm a homeowner who uses this for assorted projects, no for making a living so I can comment on longevity of the tool but it's worked well so far, no leaks, no jams.

Pros
  • decent quality, price, delivery, supplier--all good
Cons
  • No adjustable depth control for precision nailing

Most fun I’ve ever had with a project!

I bought a nail gun a few years back and had such a bad experience, it turned me off to the gadget. I was hanging shiplap and knew this was not only the "right way” but the easiest way. I saw plenty of great reviews on this super affordable gun so took the risk. I set my compressor between 100 and 110PSI and got the perfect sink. It was a relatively small project but the thing NEVER JAMMED. Now I’m looking for more finish nail projects.

Pros
  • Only complaint is that the safety catch requires a lot of pressure to insure total nail seating
Cons
  • Slow firing rate can cause delays on larger projects

Can't beat the price

I got it to re-install baseboards after having flooring redone. I gave it 4/5 stars because even on the highest setting it would leave some nail heads out and not drive completely into the wood. Not sure if it's something I'm doing but it just means I've had to go back and hammer them in. I'd still recommend it as it is a great value and I think it's probably me using max length nails into harder wood.

Pros
  • The lightweight construction makes it easy to use for extended periods without fatigue
Cons
  • Not designed for use with thicker or denser woods

good tool, great price

I'm no expert with nailers. I just finished a lean-to/shed, using a mix of nails for framing and roofing. I couldn't be bothered with renting a roofing nailer for this small yard job, so I even used it to attach the shingles, adjusting it (very easily) so that the nails drove exactly flush with the shingle surface, and using a large excess of nails. We'll see whether they stay on in the next hurricane! It performed flawlessly throughout. (I set my air at 90 psi.) The soft tip does fall off too…

Pros
  • It has a durable driver blade that provides consistent driving power for high-quality results
Cons
  • Can be frustrating to reload nails when in the middle of a project

After reading a fair amount of previous reviews, I decided to purchase this nail gun to install a room full of base boards. Nothing fancy about this nailer and it does come loose in its box. I read through the instructions, added 2 drops of oil, and loaded some Dewalt 1-1/2-inch 16GA finish nails (DCS16150). After my compressor had charged up to about 100psi I started installing the base boards. The nailer shot true and straight to a proper depth right off the bat without a single jam. I know…

Pros
  • The nailer has an excellent accuracy rate, making it ideal for intricate woodworking tasks
Cons
  • May not be the most versatile option on the market

Worth the price. in my review

My Porter Cable trigger came apart last time I used it. I am getting a replacement trigger kit for like $20. I saw this gun for $44 and figured I’ld give it a try. Just did all new baseboard in my house and this gun performed just as well if not better than my Porter Cable! 4 stars because I have to see if it lasts and keeps performing. So far I am very impressed. No jams, no malfunctioning.

Pros
  • Power Tools
Cons
  • The air compressor required for operation can be obnoxiously loud

Good product for price

I have several of these. Use them often but not professionally. A lot cheaper than name brands and work fine for the jobs I use it for

Pros
  • Great nail gun especially for the price
Cons
  • Not designed for heavy-duty framing or construction work

Exactly what I needed!

Used this finish nailer to put up a reclaimed barn wood wall. The reclaimed wood was 3/4" to 1" thick nailed ontop of the drywall and into the stud. Used 2 1/2" long nails. After a little adjustment, it worked great! The only thing to watch out for is the exhaust from the top, but it is adjustable.

Pros
  • Ergonomically engineered aluminum body results in a balanced and lightweight tool great for extended use
Cons
  • Heavy and cumbersome to carry around job sites

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great for the price.

Perfect little nailer for small jobs. I mean this is obviously not a nailer that you could run constantly on a job site building stuff, but for projects around the house this is perfect. Stop borrowing your friend’s nail gun and just buy one……

Pros
  • It is compatible with most air compressors, making it versatile and easy to use
Cons
  • Can be difficult to maneuver around angles and corners

A Reliably Frustrating POS

I purchased this nailer in October 2014 because it almost exactly resembles the trusty old Porter Cable 16 gauge nailer I used as a finish carpenter for nearly 15 years. My P/C nailer broke, and I needed another one for an upcoming project. (I thought maybe a chinese manufacturer was now replicating the superior, older, Taiwanese-made version of Porter Cable's newer chinese 16 gauge nailers.) Big mistake.I have given this thing one year to work

Pros
  • It meets or exceeds the strict quality standards set by ANSI, ensuring reliable performance
Cons
  • Can be difficult to operate for users with limited strength or mobility

Revainrating 5 out of 5

very useful for DIY'r

I used this to install trim around windows and baseboards. Easy operation and did a good job. much better than driving all those finishing nails with a hammer and messing up the trim. Just needed a little putty to fill the holes. I don't know how much use I'll get out of it as I just do DIY projects but I'm happy with it.

Pros
  • It functions as well as the Paslode it replaced. Needs an ambidextrous belt hook.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other nail guns on the market

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's good!: my feedback

This nailer is a very good value. It's made pretty well with an economy of features but it performs properly day after day for me. It's good. Don't waste your money on the DeWalt or Metabo or other pricey guns. Get one of these it works just as good and you usually don't need all extra features

Pros
  • 360 degree adjustable exhaust allows user to direct air away from face
Cons
  • Requires a nearby electrical outlet or access to a generator for the air compressor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

great value! on my review.

This nail gun was just fine for what I needed. Worked great and price was the best I could find anywhere. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • It is easy to load and unload nails, which saves time during the job
Cons
  • Can be painful if the recoil hits the user's hand or arm
