Not the quality of the old model

I had an old model of this timer for many years and liked it. I changed the battery and used the timer many times until it just stopped working. It was easy to use and easy to hear from a distance. This newer model looks like the original but lacks quality. The buttons are made of a different, softer material and are not easy to use. I triggered the timer mid-countdown for reasons I don't understand, and the alarm tone is so quiet you can barely hear it with the timer hanging around your neck…

limited life suitable for kitchen utensils and gadgets

great functionality. reliability is bad. You should expect this timer to only last a few years. And if he dies in a year, Polder refuses to replace him. Bad customer service. Do's and Don'ts: The timer doesn't like being thrown. But even this timer doesn't like being snapped back onto the hood. It has strong magnets. I keep it on the hood. But I often put it away to take it somewhere else in the house. When you snap it back onto the hood, its insides shake like it's been dropped. If you want it

It didn't work: thermometer and timer

Unfortunately this timer turned out to be defective when I opened the box. It wouldn't add minutes. I've had identical timers over the years and really liked them and wanted a different one. But looking at other reviews and considering I threw three or four in the trash, I think Polder is done. Too bad. It's such a beautiful design but now I have to fiddle with the return and I just don't want to do it again. So I'm going to buy another timer that I don't really like but might last longer. I…

A handy kitchen timer with all the features you need

This is the handiest basic kitchen timer we've ever had and we've given away several of these. The LCD on our first LCD recently lost segments (after a few years of use) so we replaced it and only gave it four stars for durability. The fact that the timer is small enough to be hung from a neck cord seems trivial until you use it that way. Then it becomes priceless. The full-size keyboard allows for quick setup, and the countdown feature keeps counting down to zero so you can see how much time…

It was the best of timers and the worst of timers.

A few minutes ago I bought my fifth of these although they are junk but I buy them hard because when they work they are incredibly comfortable. Pros: Having a timer, stopwatch, and countdown (and a watch!) in one sleek lanyard device is a boon to my work in a busy hospital — it reminds me of things to do, measuring the intervals between the drugs. , tea time, lunch break, frozen lasagna in the toaster etc lol. Cons: The battery compartment doesn't fit well, causing the damn thing to fall out. I

BEST kitchen (and everywhere) Timer

Even in the age of smartphones and smartwatches, this timer has a place, and that place is EVERYWHERE! We've probably had 10 of these timers, and we use them around the house and at work! We have 2 in the kitchen, one at the BBQ, one in the garage and my wife has one in her elementary school classroom! We used them as homework timer and pomadoro timer. A handy neck strap allows you to do other things while your roast or cake is in the oven. Because the timer is with you, you'll never be far…

Pros
  • Outstanding overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Highly recommended. We only keep frequently used items in the kitchen, and although we have timers on the hob, stovetop, microwave, multiple phones, tablets, etc. As well as a temperature sensor, we have two of these Polder timers for different needs in the kitchen and elsewhere. A house. One black, one white if both are used. We bought two of these a few years ago and after a lot of abuse just bought a couple more to replace after quite an extensive search for alternatives. Compared to other…
