These things are way better than the MC60 and MC80 I have installed. The voices are much clearer and make a big difference. I use them as a 5.0 front stage in my home theater with two MC80s for the rear. In fact, the 70RTs have lower pitched sound, better imaging, and cleaner sound. I probably spent too many hours looking for speakers for my new home theater but I knew I needed in wall or ceiling speakers. Great in-ceiling speakers if you're picky about sound quality. I'm not a Polk fan at all. My regular speakers are, shall we say, rather esoteric. But it increased my appreciation for Polk! Often ceiling speakers sound awful, tinny or boomy etc. But they have very nice and smooth mids (which is key); probably because, unlike almost all other in-ceiling speakers in this price range, it has 3 drivers, one for mids, so it doesn't have to do without mids for bass reproduction. I installed two of these in a 21' x 11' room with a 10' ceiling and powered them with a Sonos Connect: amplifier so they get about 55 watts each. They effortlessly fill the room with great sound. Bought 4 of these to install in our new home in the living room home theater due to Dolby Atmos/DTS:X top Ducts installed in it are leaking ceiling.
