Polk Audio DB462 Speakers Certification Review

They sound pretty good with the low wattage I had for them. I used one of the two for the center channel. It would be better if they were three way but the three way speakers I found were rubbish. I also tried the JBL GTO 4x6 series and they sounded pretty harsh so I switched to this one. I already had 4 other Polk marine speakers in the system so I figured why not? So far I am happy with these speakers. They won't be very loud, just turn up the volume if you like. But the sound is very good.

I installed them on my 93 Wrangler if you are unfamiliar with jeeps, they are noisy, especially after the 31" tire riser kit and the bare interior. These speakers produce a lot of sound with surprisingly good bass, and the treble exceeded my expectations. Installed in a Jeep Wrangler YJ. The holes you will use are slits open at the edges. I had to enlarge these holes slightly toward the center of the speaker (lengthwise) with a chainsaw file to fit the studs on the back of the dash. I also spaced them with two nuts and a small o-ring to keep the tweeter from bumping, but Revain have a couple of kits with small plastic braces that work fine. I bought these for my 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ. I wanted something that could withstand the elements. I installed them about a month ago and they have been fantastic.
