There's no better pair of speakers for less than $300.

Great loudspeaker set for little money. I use them as fronts in a 12x15 bedroom and they work just as well as the large bookshelf speakers. The sound quality and build quality are on par with those in the $400 price range. Even though they would make amazing hecks, don't be fooled. In smaller rooms/areas they will surprise you with the fact that they can be used as front speakers. Polk really hit the mark with these little high quality mini monsters. Highly recommended.

Polk S10. Great Columns!

I am completely satisfied. I've been using the Energy Take Classic 5.1 with a Yamaha 12" subwoofer for 5 years. One of my speakers fell off the stand and another got hit in the face with a broom. It's time for a new surround sound experience. I have two pairs of Polk S10 and they sound AMAZING The energies were ok but this is definitely a big upgrade My living room is a fairly open 20x30 room with a 25ft ceiling so it's a pretty big space to fill in and these places not a problem the sound is…

Compact for a 4 " speaker but still sounds like a 4 " speaker

My 3 star rating matches the MSRP of $200. These are some of the best speakers of this size I've heard, but I don't think they're much better than options that typically sell for around $100 to justify their price. On the plus side, they are very good. Visually and compact for speakers with a 4" woofer, they also don't try to do more than they can, meaning you get reasonably balanced sound that's clear across the spectrum, and they set the picture good again. On the negative side they still…

Polk makes phenomenal speakers at an affordable price. Their signature line is all you need to create a proper 5.1 or 7.1 setup that will never let you down. I have a BIC F1 subwoofer which is also incredible value for money. I plan to get another one for the 5.2/7.2 setup. Get these items on sale, there is no point in paying full price. In fact, most people will never use a 7.1 system. There just aren't many Blu-ray or streaming sources that offer better sound than 5.1. Dolby Atmos is probably

I was really impressed by the Signature Series

I bought these to complete my living room entertainment system. I use them for surround sound in my 5.1 amp and the front bi-amp is the S55. I was really blown away by the sound quality. For me, HI-FI sound has always been a problem with parquet floors. I have a very large carpet, but I always find it difficult to make sure the sound isn't too bright. I made tiny bass EQ adjustments for the front, a little mid for the center and nothing for the back; the easiest setup (just measure and set the…

Lots of clear and accurate sound for the money

I replaced Yamaha's entry-level front surround in-wall speakers with a Polk S10 and greatly improved the sound of my system. Sound output at any audio frequency from low to high. I got the smallest series Polks brand so I could replace the front ceiling speakers with them. I've added these Polks to my system: I have a pair of refurbished Cizek stereo speakers with 8" Pioneer portable woofers and Visonic dome tweeters, which are the least equal in tone and performance to the original Peerless…

Excellent surround speaker option

They were purchased as surround back speakers for a 5.1 system consisting of ELAC B5.2 series speakers and a 12" SVS subwoofer. ELAC offers for my rear speakers. It's still quite difficult to find quality and affordable rear surround speakers, especially if you don't want your rear speakers to take up a lot of space or protrude too much. After much research I decided to give them a try based on good reviews, small size, great looks and mostly good experience with Polk speakers. I power them…
