The best colored pencils I've ever had!

I love these crayons, they are amazing! The colors are bright and beautiful. From now on my FAVORITE! I have a friend who is an artist who recommended these pens, I had a fight between them and Prismacolor. I'm so glad I followed her advice. She also told me that the Prismacolor pencils were good, but her experience with Faber Castle was much better! The case in which they come is also very good. I recommend FABER CASTELL, I PROMISE YOU WON'T REGRET IT. This is my personal and honest opinion. I

Nice color palette in the picture

I decided to use an oil base instead of a wax base because I don't like the waxy shine of crayons. I was not disappointed. Wax based pencils don't give me the layered results I want. Before investing in the 120 set, I wanted to make sure I fell in love with them first, which I did. There's a good range of colors here, but not many options for green. I liked the case they came in. They are not in a can but in a magnetized case where the lid opens and the sleeve wraps around it. Great for…

Worth the hype. - Drawing

I have worked with Prismacolor Premier and Prismacolor Verithin for many years and am very satisfied with their creamy finish (Premier) and high precision (Verithin). However, I didn't like that the Premier line breaks so often (at work, sharpening, wrong sight, etc.). I bought them because they are readily available near where I live and can use one color. They are great for many reasons. However, I heard many other European artists praising the Polychromos pens, so I decided to try them out…

I want more! Best in Drawing

My only complaint is that I couldn't afford a larger set! These Polychromos are awesome and more affordable than the Derwents which I really like. Polys colors are deep and rich; and cover every area much better than my big box pencils. If you're a color fanatic like me and looking for more intensity and coverage in your pens, buy these. Or add them to your wish list! (For non-electric pencil sharpeners) If your pencils break while sharpening, try the following: Hold a pencil in your…

I need more than 100 colored pencils!?

Yes! I'm really. I've been a fan of Prismacolor pencils since the 1980's. This was my first set of pencils that I could call my own. Little did I know they were pretty much the best. And that I wasn't spoiled by any other brand from the start! Now some 36 years later I'm joining some online painting forums because it seems like the rest of the world has finally caught up with me and my obsession with painting. And I've read about different brands of crayons. One brand in particular is…
